Metro PCS Phone Financing Option Available

You pay the 700 only if you choose to make min. payments every month. The have a 90 day option, where as you pay the 442 price.
Here is the facts:
You have two buyout options from your lease/purchase agreement. If you wish to utilize one of the options, please call our office and set up payment arrangements with one of our representatives.

1. 90 Day Payment Option: Pay only the invoice amount (plus the $44.30 already paid) within 90 days of the delivery date.
o Bi-Weekly payments are still required but extra payments will go toward the invoice amount.

2. Early Buyout: Pay only a partial amount of the lease balance anytime after 90 days.
o If you wish to purchase the merchandise outright before the 12 month term, you may contact us and request the early buyout balance.

And like I said if you pay the payments to lease/contract end then it comes out to around 700.Kinda like rent a center or Arons.

So I am going to pay the net 90 so i avoid all that BS

ok you go to the metropcs store you buy the sgs3 after taxes and whatever the price is 442 and change. You finance this purchase,Now you pay 44.29 (10%) to the metro folks sign papers and leave with your new phone.
The payment options are:
Pay off the balance about 400 in 90 days all done
Pay off some of the balance after 90 days call and request a payoff
Lastly make all payments i think it is 12 and you end up paying 700 and some change.

So just pay it off in 90 days and avoid all the interest
Hope this helps

Well I guess if you pay it off in the 90 days its not that bad that's what like 130 or 140 a month with the down payment? If I read that correctly its seems like a better option than the bill float.

anybody aware of any stores doing this on the east side of florida between jacksonville and daytona maybe a little further south? i need to get a new phone the power button on my connect not working correctly so i need a new phone.

I'm actually a salesman in one of the metroPCS in the area , I also fell victim to those liars . I went to a progressive meeting and the spokeswoman told us that our customers would get charged 0% intrest if they choose to buy It out in 90 days so she can sell her lies . In actuality its 20% . And they charge you in about 3 weeks not 2 , for the second payment so they can hit you with an overdue amout when you domt have enough momey in your account , I currently owe more than 600$ on my 450$ lease which was about 85 days ago , I've called 2 times to resolve this issue but they just feed you lies . Theyve taken 58$ every 2 weeks and also charged me overdue fees , not even 90 days and I owe 600. I haven't sold progressive to a single customer after , commission doesn't matter anymore, I don't advise it in my store anymore cause I don't want people to go through the trouble I went through , the stress is unbelievable .

That's weird I did end up using the progressive service last year when I got my S3 and had non of those problems had it paid of in the 90 days no interest period and the money American out when they said it would. But maybe thin s have changed.

It is through a company called Progressive Financing, and it is a program they have rolled out to a lot of Metro PCS authorized dealers. You put down 10% then set up payments on your payday to ACH debit from your bank account. The application process took about 30 minutes and it does work. They have about an 80-85% approval rate. No credit check, just checking your bank to make sure you don't have a lot of NSF or overdrafts. Hello Unlimited wireless in Riverview is doing it, as well as the one on Kingsway in Brandon. The one by my house is as well. It is the Metro PCS store on Fowler in the Winn Dixie plaza where Fowler & 301 merge, right across from the Big Top Flea Market. They still seem to have plenty of S3's in stock.

Best of luck and let me know how it goes!

PS - Here is a link to another store on 56th Street doing it:
METRO PCS IS NOW DOING NO CREDIT CHECK FINANCING ON PHONES!!!

EDIT: No, I am not a dealer, just wanted to spread the word on this because I know how many people want these new phones but can't afford the cost all at once.

Are they charging you a finance charge on it?

Sound advice, indeed.....however, remember that a LOT of people are with Metro PCS not just because of the great service and lower pricing but also because they don't necessarily have the cash and or/credit that the larger providers require. In circumstances such as this when there is a $500 phone, obviously there will be people, like myself, who choose to go the finance route. That doesn't make us idiots or fools. Fine it doesn't work for you....but there are plenty of people that it does work for and I thought I would share the information. Congratulations, by the way, on being apparently very well-off and financially sound. ;)

I basically agree with Bruce and Carol. However, if you are paying, for example, $200 for a phone, and you replace it every two years for a little bit better OS or whatever, then in the long run you are spending more than the $500 for the phone that has everything on it that you already want.

There will always be folks who fancy some item or another and are willing to spend more for it and do without something else. It is called opportunity cost.

Paying **75% more** than the current price for the S3 simply because you can't afford it, (Yes, if you have to finance the damn thing, you CAN'T afford it!) is about the stupidest way I can think of to pi** away $300 cash.

It's a damn phone not a pocket kidney dialysis machine.

Bruce, you are too funny! : )

For those of you who do need help in getting a higher priced mobile, check out the Amazon Store Card. Amazon is offering FREE financing if purchased with the Store Card.

Well went over to forest lakes wireless here in Oldsmar.I bought two S3's today one for me and one for the wife. I used progressive financing they are real good for a net 90 If you pay it till end phone starts at 442 then with all payments made it ends up 700 and change. Also you pay ten percent down to start it. They have some s3s left so if you plan to get one head over there and speak with Imire sorry if I spelt it wrong. Enjoy your new S3

Typed from my Samsung Galaxy S3
So you ended up paying $700 dollars for a 2 year old phone?!? Wow. You could have gotten a used one for less than $300. Terrible deal.

Howdy Dportal,
Yes I did, paid it off in 89 day so paid actual price with no finance charges added on.
If you have to use it as it is set up monthly payments for a year I think it was you end up paying double or so.
Any who, was a new phone my wife and I wanted so that was how we got them. Currently I have the S4 and wife has Note 2 we did not use the financing for those.
Take care and have a great day

I did the financing through them as well.

Basically if you pay the phone off in 90 days they only charge you an extra 10% of the cost of the phone, they have to make their money for financing it anyways.

If you DONT pay within the 90 days, then the accrued 22% interest rate that accrued for 3 months, gets added on to the bill.

My S3 I financed was $399 plus taxes and blah blah..I ended up paying about $460 or so.

Had I NOT paid the $460 in 90 days it wouldve jumped to $1100.

The trick that the company does is that most people just let them continue to take out the pre-stated amount of the auto payment. What they dont realize is that auto payment us PURPOSELY lower then what it would cost to pay off in 90 days for it to go over and the down they ask for is much lower then should be put down.

So be mindful, if you finance, they ask for 10% down. Call Progressive a day or 2 after you leave the store and make another chunk payment on top of the small down you put.

Then that will allow the auto payments to pay off in the 90 days.

if you have a paypal account you can use BillMeLater and pay it off in 6 months with no interest. they have something going on now where there's no interest or payments for 6 months for purchases over $250. don't know how long that will last but thats an option available.

Sometimes I'm clueless, can I pay with PayPal bill me later at a MetroPCS store, or ebay only?

Beware of financing your phone through progressive. My Metro PCS store told me I was signing up for three payments of $106. Progressive took out THIRTEEN payments of $106. I went back and read the lease, and sure enough, it said 13, not 3. I am in a big fight right now. I warned the progressive rep that if I don't get my money back, I will use social media to their disadvantage.

I can see where financing is a viable option if you want a device and don't have the full sum up front but know, for certain, you'll be able to pay the lender off before interest starts accruing. Good on you, that's making the system work for you.

Outside of that, why anyone would willingly sign off with any of there dirtbag lenders who are literally falling over one another to get a piece of the phone game is beyond me. I wonder if people even realize or just don't care that these companies are actively preying on them. A phone's not worth that to me. Especially when I can buy a $49 or $99 phone in the same store that's going to serve me and 99% of smartphone users just as well as a $589+whatever financing bs phone.

Progressive is 90 days same as cash BUT if you need an extension for EVEN JUST 1-30 DAYS, you will pay about 100 bucks extra in interest! I bought my LG G3 from a place on Waters in Tampa, FL and paid like 700 for it brand new just came out (my G2 was acting up). My car needed unforseen mechanical work, so I ate the interest on the G3, but heyyyy my phone was great and WORKED!

Sorry to hear you had car problems. I was lucky when I used them got two new phones and was able to pay them off in 90 days, And for Benny's comments yes they prey on the folks that want a item and can not afford it so they finance it and get hit with crazy interest. Just like the folks are stuck in amscot every month, my daughter got a payday advance and she lives on a fixed income so every time she would pay her "loan" back she did not have the money for food and bills so she would have to re borrow. Everyone have a nice week end
