Help HTC Sync on Incredible Fails to sync Outlook Calendar

I did search for an answer before posting this. I need to sync my Calendar and Contacts from Outlook to the Incredible. For multiple reasons, going from Outlook to Gmail to Incredible is not an option for me.

I installed HTC Sync and was able to get all 800+ of my contacts to the Incredible. But the Sync keeps failing when it tries to move my Calendar over.

I've left the default setting to sync future appointments and 20 days before today. Sometimes the HTC Sync software seems to freez, but most times it does connect to the phone but eventually gives me a timeout/failed to connect message. I've tried rebooting both PC and phone but the problem persists.

Running Outlook 2007 on XP SP3 machine. Running HTC Sync 2.0.25 that came on the phone (as apparently there isn't a version for Incredible avail to d/l from HTC support yet).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Best way to sync outlook calendars and your Google phone is to get the Google sync program and have it done live. Google it.

By using Google Apps Sync I think I'm still going thru Google's cloud and I can't do that for my Calendar/Contacts. Or am I misunderstanding how Google Apps Sync works?

What is happening is Google is pulling the info from Outlook and pushing it to google calendars. You can select either two way outlook push only or Google push only.

There is the link for Google Calendar sync. As for Contacts you can create a .CSV file of your outlook contacts if you are running 03 BTW, what version of OUtlook are you working with?

I grabbed the latest version from htc 2.0.33, and it worked but it took forever.

The Incredible is not listed among supported devices for 2.0.33 and I haven't gotten a response from HTC support.

Guess I must be having little brain glitch here... even if I select 1 way push (Outlook to Google Calendar), I'm still going thru Google cload with my data. I need to go from PC to Incredible directly.

Yup and its not listed on their site but it worked for me with outlook 2010.

They need to get a decent sync up and running for it. I don't want to put all my personal stuff on google.

GSyncit (http://www.daveswebsite.com/software/gsync/) is a nice Outlook-Google Calendar/Contact sync SW tool. You can sync multi calendars.

I downloaded the version for the Desire and it works fine on my Incredible for contacts and calendar with Outlook 2007.

I actually have a HTC Desire, and the sync does work FROM Outlook to the phone, but not visa versa... This was possible by "Repairing Sync" in the version of HTC Sync from the phone directory, but this option doesn't seem possible in the newest version of HTC sync... Does anyone know how to make a workaround to make it a 2-way sync without syncing through google calendar or other applications? Looking forwards to responces with possible sollutions and thanks in advance!
