I don't know how the hell this happened, but it pisses me off to no end. There was absolutely no chance that this could have happened, but it did. The scratch is on the screen towards the bottom left and is deep enough that if you scratch your nail over it, you hear the concavity. I don't believe this. I'm so incredibly pissed off now.

I'm not able to call customer service at the moment, but I think I can get them to replace the phone. Honestly, I was so careful with it! I don't know what happened!!

I needed to vent. I'm sad and pissed. :(

Scratches can still happen everyone. :(

All it takes is a grain of sand.

I really wish more companies start using Gorilla Glass. I treated my Motorola Droid like crap and the screen is still flawless to this day.
I know. It's just disheartening to know that it made that scratch, yet I can guarantee on YouTube later today or next week there will be a scratch resistant test with someone's keys to the front of it, and it will be flawless.

i've got invisible shield on some stuff but i am happier with the phantomskinz. it's not sticky on the surface and it is only $10.00 but use coupon code spring25 and you get a 25% discount for spring 2010 an it is shipped free us post office first class mail. i ordered this as well as the invisible shield and i believe you get a set of 2 skins from phantom for the price. i have phantom on my htc tp2 and am very satisfied with it regardless of the cheaper price

I have a 50% off coupon for Zagg.. pm me and I will send it to you.
You got it! :D
My droid's screen is scratched and I take exceptional care of my phones. Don't know how it happened but the gorilla glass doesn't impress me.
I'm exactly the same which is why I have no idea how this happened! I was exceptionally careful with this phone, and why wouldn't I be! It's not like I was throwing it around. I'm a tech guy. I know how to take care of my devices. I guess I just gave more credit towards the screen than I should have. :(

I recommend the phantom skinz over zagg any day of the week. No tacky feeling and super smooth. My Droid's screen is insane, I dropped it about 3 1/2 feet onto the edge of a granite counter top (at my buddy's shop changing a light bulb haha) and it bounced off then smacked the concrete floor and all it has is a tiny scuff on the top left corner of the soft touch plastic. The screen didn't take any damage, between the phantom skin and gorilla glass it's pretty tough.

Are you Incredibly pissed! It's the Incredible of course you will be!

No but in all seriousness - that's a huge bummer and I don't think Asurion covers cosmetic damage.

I've read the fine print and if you crack your screen and the phone still works they don't have to fix it.

Best buy covers cosmetic damage though.

Sorry bud Id be mad too - Go to the store and get an invisible shield and hopefully that will be your only scratch.

Edit: Half of the time I have been in my basement where Verizon has to FIGHT for a signal. ATT + T Mobile don't work in my basement by Verizon is able to squeeze a signal somehow. Doesn't seem to be killing my battery.

That's what she said.

i have to tell a story...wrong place and completely inappropriate so mods delete if you feel you must:
i have a ball python and was talking to another lady about it who was asking questions.mind you this in a public place(a convenience store).she asked how big it was...at that moment another lady walked up...i made a circle with my thumb a finger and said, "it's that big around"...put my hands about two feet apart and said, "and that long and it won't get any bigger". my friend was dying laughing when we left the store and i asked what the hell is so funny? he repeated what i said and told me that the other lady who had just walked up looked at me with her eyes as big as saucers and walked away shaking her head....sorry just had to tell it.

Thanks for the recommendation. I remember I purchased a Zagg when I got an iPod Touch, and I hated how it made my screen extremely resistant and gave it that terrible orange peel.

How do you feel about Steinheil shields? I was looking at the extremely clear one.

I think I'm going to call and see what they can do for me if they can. If not, then I'll just try and get a cover for it and hope that it goes away. :(
