Help Google Calendar Sync?

Just realized that you can only sync one google calendar and I was trying to sync the wrong one.... got it to work, Thanks! I still feel like an idiot, but my calendar works!

No worries :)

If you have more than one Google calendar to sync, you may try adding the second one to your primary calendar. I haven't seen anyone do this, but it's worth a try.

Simply sharing the second calendar with the first one works fine, using it here for work + personal calendar.

To be sure I understand, you are saying that if you have multiple calendars, and they are all shared, they will all sync to your phone?

Is there a way of differentiating them on the phone?

For example, my wife and I each have a Google Calendar, and I also have one for Work. So when I'm on Google Calendars, i can see any of the three, or all at once.

I have a third party app on my Winmo based phone which will sync all three, and each is a different category. So I can filter them on my phone to see any combination of the three.

I am considering a move to an Android phone, but I want to be able to do that. At the moment the third party app is not available on Android.

Yup -- basically any calendars that your gmail account has access to will be available on your phone.

You can choose which ones are visible at any time, and the events are colored differently depending on the calendar (much like it is in google calendar). It is a little cumbersome to change which ones are visible though (takes maybe 2-3 clicks to get to the calendar selection screen).

For example, my wife and I each have a Google Calendar, and I also have one for Work. So when I'm on Google Calendars, i can see any of the three, or all at once.

Yeah I have the exact same situation, and I have all three calendars on my phone.

You should be good! Take the plunge!

Just found this thread as I was having the same issue. Two Google accounts, but only showing ability to sync the calendar for the one I initially signed in with when setting up the phone. Will this feature ever be available to sync multiple Gmail calendars? To me it does not make sense that you would not be able to.

Do you have One Google Account, and the other one shared to the initial one? For example, I have that, with my wife's shared to mine. I also created another in my main account called Work, which I sync to with Awesync from notes. So in this case, I have one account set up,but 3 calendars that sync.

It works. I had a lot of trouble with it at first. To get it working, do this:

Go to Menu/Settings/Applications/Manage Applications. Then once there, go to Menu/Filter/Show All. Scroll down and find Calendar and click on it. then select Clear Data. It will resynch, and hopefully bring it all down.

Now if they are separate accounts, I know you can go in and add more, but I'm not sure how that works. You may bet email from both.

Did a search and found this thread - So am I to understand correctly that my Dinc calendar will automatically sync with my laptop gmail calendar (same gmail addy for both) as I have been loading my laptop gmail calendar and it has not been automatically synching even though it is the same gmail email account on my Dinc????
Appreciate your help

I'm not really sure what you said. Sounds like a circular reference :p

Your Gmail account, which is online, is the central account that syncs to your Android phone. If you make a change on your phone, it will synch to Google (assuming you ahve that all set up and turned on).

I don't know what you are syncing to on your laptop. Google account does not reside on the laptop. You could be synching to Outlook.

But in the end, if you are synching Google to your phone, or any other calendar, they should all contain the same calendar entries.

In fact, I synch my work email (Lotus Notes) via my laptop to Google; I also have my wifes calendar viewable by me in my Google account. On my phone I synch my own Googlw calendar; my Wife's Calendar, and my Work Calendar (which again is in Google via a sync from my laptop while at work)...all to my phone. And each different one is in a different color to differentiate.

same problem....i continue to sync from my phone (menu...settings....acct/sync...sync calender), i click 'sync now' (i have it checked), but then i would sign into my gmail calender (laptop), none of my calender appointments that are on my phone (dinc) shows up in my gmail account from my laptop.

what am i missing?
can anyone help? i have followed all of the above.

thx in advance

Thanks for your help on this... I can see my calender when I log onto gmail in the browser on my pc, but I am not able to find where to sync this calendar to my incredible.

I feel pretty dumb here but I'm having the same issue and I'm very new to my Android phone. I just picked up the Droid2 and like it so far but I was really hoping that all of my google apps (gmail, calendar, docs, etc) would automatically synch to the phone.

I have one account only on google and one gmail account. It's the account I signed into the phone with and gmail syncs automatically. It was nice when I imported a bunch of contacts from my "work" email into gmail and - bang - there they were on my phone. I then updated my calendar and - nothing on the phone.

I go to accounts on my phone and I only have Google and back up assistant (I'm very new to this phone and Android). I just don't get it though. Shouldn't it just automatically sync the calendar and docs?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but I've been all over Google help section and can't find anything on this.
