Broke my bezel

So i take off the Neo Hybrid to switch to my work case and the bezel just lifted up. The bezel broke near the bottom of the volume rocker between the volume rocker switch and the back cover.
If you look at the side of your phone, you will see the plastic bezel is very thin at that point. I guess switching TPU covers is pretty hard on that weak spot.
For the record I've been a cell phone user for 25 years. During that time I have never damaged a phone in any way. Sure I've dropped them but never inflicted any damage but scratches. What I'm saying is I take care of my phones. I can't believe it broke just from removing a rubber cover.
Went to the Samsung kiosk inside Best Buy...no help.
Went to AT&T......no help.
Contacted Samsung service via AT&T...The only thing they could do is repair it which would take a while. Not having my business phone for even one day is not an option. I really don't want to fire up my Iphone for something this small.
I just wanted to give you guys a heads up. You may want to take a look at those very thin spots on your bezel for cracks.
I'm sure what I'll end up doing is just snapping that little piece off the rest of the way. It's currently held on with tape.

1) Now you have a good reason to buy an old AT&T flip phone for about $20. That and a SIM card adapter will have you back in business in 2 minutes. No apps, but you'll be reachable by phone.

2) I have a TPU case with hard plastic backing (iBlason). I've had it off and on many times. No damage to the phone. I guess some cases are easier on phones than others.

I have a couple of those tucked away. Problem is I now need internet, picture sending and text.
How business has changed with these mini computers.

but you use cases...to cover your phone. does it matter about the little damage?

This is the first time I've heard this. Could you possibly post a pic of your lifted bezel? I'd would appreciate if you could & it would also give others some idea/focus of what you're talking about.

I've never experienced anything like this on any of my phones. I thought if I broke the dangling piece off it would somehow void the warranty. Samsung claims abuse! I guess if removing a TPU cover is abuse, I'm guilty.

to me.. bezel is referring to the NON-screen part of the front of the phone.

how did that break? do you have pic of the case u used? what would catch that little tiny part? very hard to something to grab that.

Wondering how much this will effect trade in value next year? It may be worth the $75+ shipping Samsung will charge me to fix it.

Maybe some Mitre Mate (Instant Glue with spray reactor) would stick that back, thats what I would try first.

I have considered super glue as well. Just don't want to make it worse by having the glue run. Really small area to work with. Maybe applying with a toothpick or a needle.

Super glue will work, but use the gel type rather than the liquid type. A chopped wooden cocktail stick dipped in a "blob" of gel super glue and if the bezel is only broken one side held in place with the end of an eraser tipped pencil until the glue "grabs", rotating the pencil slowly while applying pressure to make sure you don't stick it to the work piece. Once repaired, and the glue is dry, if there are any tiny bits of rubber from the eraser stuck to the repaired bezel use a larger eraser to gently rub them off. Any "splurged" glue can be removed with a cotton bud (Q Tip ?) dipped in isopropyl alcohol and gently rubbed off.

If you're careful and take your time you should be able to make an invisible repair that is almost as strong as the unbroken bezel.
