Want to watch my movies on my desire?

Avoiding the source of the content, have a look at Sync Android, PSP, BlackBerry, Pre: doubleTwist with Amazon MP3 which can convert to a friendly format on syn'ing to the phone from the likes of .avi files.

I'm going to give that program a go,I've been using handbrake to convert my movies,but that doubletwist looks good.

Havent tried double-twist yet but am going to give it a go, however, I currently use Videora to convert mine. I just use the iphone 3gs format which is mp4 and it seems to work fine. A 700Mb file converts down to about 600Mb, so would be interested to know what sort of size changes anyone else has seen using double-twist.

Oh and once you get them converted, just dump them on your SDCard and then go to Photos (Don't ask me why) and you will see a section entitled Videos where you will find your films etc.

I've been using Oxelon to convert all my movies, worked for me when I was still a Symbian junkie. Converts to Mp4 and plays from your pics.

can anyone please help me I am trying to watch movies on my desire hd? this may sound stupid but have loads of dvd's can I transfer them on to my laptop and then on to my phone?? if so what downloads do I use and so on! sorry but as the name suggests I am new to this!!!

I use Cucusoft, this will convert any dvd to mp4 format which will then play on your phone... a decent micro sd card speed (class 4/6) will ensure you can view without speech lag when playing back..

You can also try Handbrake if the above doesn't work out well for you.

If we are talking about DVD's, then I'd also use Handbrake. It is easy to use and will offer excellent compression with a good video quality.

If your movies are in DivX or Xvid (avi) format then no need to reformat, just copy to your SD card. I then use Rockplayer to watch them and they work just fine
