Hi everyone, I'm fairly new to this stuff so please bare with me. I have a samsung galaxy s4 from At&t I337. Anyways, I'm currently at version 4.3 (root), I'd like to know how I can update to the latest software 4.4.2 and keep my phone rooted, or if I have too how I can re-root. Thanks

You could possibly use OTA Rootkeeper to do it. It saves the root, unroots it temporarily so you can updates, then reroots.

It works on my old LG anyway.

How did you get your phone down to 4.3? Did you just not update?

Thanks I'll check that out, I just didn't update and when I tried an error would come up. So I figured the fact that my phone is rooted is the reason it's not going through. >.<

Gotcha. I got my s4 not too long ago, and it appears this phone is funky when it comes to the bootloader.

Also, I'm not 100% sure if it will work, but that is how you root a LG MS500, you downgrade, root, unroot, upgrade and then reroot.
