Root [Verizon] 32 GB space is running out...0/emulated directory?

For all you that were on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus and remember having the 0/emulated directory where it duplicated everything and ate up tons of space. Is anyone seeing that on the Note 3? I have noticed a directory similar to that on my Note 3 now...hoping this is not the case. Here is where that is located:

storage\emulated\0\ and in here is a ton of stuff...looks a lot like every thing in the main root directory.

I also have a directory called:

storage\emulated\legacy which seems to have the exact same stuff the 0 directory has.

Suggestions?

have you tried SD Maid? It will find duplicate files for you and the Pro version even removes them. Nice app.

I will look into it.

We had a similar problem back on the Galaxy Nexus with a newer firmware version came out. I created an emulated 0 directory that duplicated everything and basically was no way to get rid of it, beside completely wiping the phone and deleting everything and then sometimes that worked briefly and it came back it you flashed that version again.

You could just delete those directories when your phone was connected to your computer, it's basically how I managed my backups lol

The only problem with deleting those, if I remember correctly from our Galaxy Nexus days, is that if you delete the WRONG one is screws up everything. One of those updates on the Nexus did this and caused all kinds of problems. So, I didn't know if this was the same issue that we saw on the Nexus or not.
