Help Strange Bluetooth & LTE problem

Here's an odd problem. I have my phone bluetooth paired with my car (2007 ES350) and it works fine when on 3G.

However, when the phone is on LTE, the car system shows no bars (even if I have 4-5 bars showing on the phone) and it won't make a call when dialing through handsfree. If then I dial by using the phone itself, the call goes out fine & I can still use the hands-free.

There must be something odd about how the phone is reporting signal strength when on LTE, and this (older) car system simply doesn't understand it.

Anyone else experience this?

Hahaha ... good one! I *wish* there was something along the line of a firmware update available; unfortunately, it's the built-in audio system that's having this problem.
I wasn't kidding, seriously, go check for a firmware update. Ford Sync has firmware updates, presumably other systems do too. It would be foolish for it not to have that capability.

Hey guys, seen this so I wanted to add my 2 cents, I got the Volt, streamed to my mustang *sniff* gt and it was all good but was hard connecting at times, there were times that I had to shut my phone off and back on to get it streaming again, went to Ford website and signed up so that I could get an update, which jus so u kno the fine print says that they periodically listen to private phone conversations, ....ok got my update and it was still bad streaming. I took the phone back to factory setting, and it worked flawlessly, slowly put my apps back on and found that it was Text Plus app. So it got pretty good but not perfect ...something to do with their "walkytalky text sending thing" that they have integrated into their service/app. So I kept my eye on it and one day I disabled Voice Mate and BANG, 100% awesomeness! Check out all ur apps that have anything to do with voice data and disable the Voice Mate CRAP!!!

Well, for what it's worth, I just tried bluetooth in my wife's car (different make/model, but also a 2007) and the same problem happened: when the phone is on LTE, the car system shows no bars (even if I have 4-5 bars showing on the phone) and it won't place a call when dialing through handsfree. On 3G, everything works fine.

So now I've seen this on both our cars!
