Unfortunately my Desire has developed a fault with the screen (interference & noise issue) & its going back, with a replacement due Wednesday.

My question is, how/what is the best way to backup/transfer all my photos & stuff, so I can put them back onto the new Desire easy.

Also how do I factory reset the faulty phone to ensure nothings left on there?

MyBackup Pro is invaluable for hard resets. I have done a roboot twice this week and been up and running within 30 minutes, including putting everything back where it was. Backs up apps, SMS, MMS, whatever effortlessly to SD. Well worth paying for.

Yep, also your photos are stored on the sdcard so once you have backed up my mybackup, copy all the contents of your sdcard to your PC.

Does mybackup backup apps too? If not use the backup tool of astro.

Yes, it does. So for $4.99, MBP makes it all terribly easy. I also like that I don't loose my SMS's and MMS'es, as MBP also takes care of these.

I don't bother doing backup of my Contacts and my Calendar, as these are in Google and will be zapped to your phone as soons as you log in to google on the device. It only causes double entries and headache.
