My Incredible screen shattered from falling 2 ft on the back!

So i think i might have the first shattered Incredible screen. I dropped it from two feet onto the metal camera protruding part. It hit with very little force. You can barely even see the mark from falling. So i pick it up and notice the entire screen is shattered when the screen was face up, the screen didn't even hit the ground!

I can't believe how thin the Incredible's screen is, it literally crumbled jut from the force of a light fall.... I'm unimpressed in the build quality of the glass. I want to contact HTC about this and see if they can help me out, it seems like a manufacturing defect, maybe a weak screen?

I need to find the biggest case that i can find for my replacement, one that could absorb a fall if it falls on the back part. I am thinking maybe a pillow as a case? That might help.

Now im out ANOTHER 100 bucks to make an insurance claim on this. I highly recommend people keeping the insurance, the screen blows up even if it is not directly the part that hits if it is dropped.

Pics. (You can see the mark on the close-up picture of the camera, its in the silver colored area on the left of the lens. Thats the impact point.)

Don't blame build quality, you probably could have dropped it 99 more times and it wouldn't have shattered.. is every electronic device supposed to be bulletproof? If you want an indestructible phone, try spending $2000 instead of $200 and carry around a 5lb weight instead of 1/2lb. Some people are ridiculous!

Gotta love the trolls ^^^^ Thanks for the help champ.

How do you figure he could have dropped it 99 more times and it wouldn't have shattered if it did the first time he dropped it? Seems like perfect logic to me

And I wasn't aware they made bulletproof indestructible phones. Are these through the military? Wonder if Verizon will offer them...

Well considering its confirmed to be gorilla glass, there has been plenty of testing. People have dropped the phone out of moving cars and not shattered or scratched the screen, other parts of the phone breaks obviously.

When i first got my voyager, I was talking on the phone in the bathroom, shaving w/ 1 hand and speaker phone in other. I accidentally dropped it in the toilet and destroyed it. I didnt make a post saying that the voyager was poorly made and that they should be water proof! I'm being less of a troll and more being someone who doesn't like a new random thread opened for every little thing. There is 30 threads already about cases, shields etc. There was no need for this one.

Just curious...I must have missed this when did we find out it's Gorilla glass?
