I just got my click last night and it is awesome to say the least. I am just getting used to it, but if you have any questions feel free to ask.

is it responsive?

how is the battery life and with what disabled?

any gripes about it?

Initially it seems like the screen feels small, but after using it, it seems very responsive and looks great overall.

This is my first day so I am not sure on the battery yet. I have wifi on, gps and have used it quuite a bit and I still have about 90 percebt after 6 hours.

No gripes yet, I will keep you posted.

The overall integration of all of your contacts and social networking sites is cool. The widgets are also pretty cool. A lot of variety and nicely implimented.

I will post more tomorrow about some other details.

If you log on to t-mobile.com/cliq they have a virtual demo of the phone's Motoblur feature. You can get a feel for how it will perform.

They're also giving away a phone a day through the 19th for anyone that pre-registers for more info. I'm working with them on the sweeps, so let me know if you have any questions. Thanks!

Yes I have one too, its called a Dext in the UK. Have you tried to root it?

A related question to helliewm's, possibly. Can it be tethered, either by USB or Bluetooth?

You can buy some software called I think PDA net? and you will then to tether it to windows. Its not any use to me I use Linux 100% of the time-Ubuntu as my operating system.

If you root it you can then set it up as as Adhoc on Wifi and effectively use your phone as a modem. I did this with my G1.

Just wondering if anyone else has tried this before I give it a go. I do not want to reinvent the wheel.

Its no big deal I am sure it will be sorted as more people get the Dext/Cliq in the meantime I can always use the G1.

I am not sure how to root it, nor do I have any real reason to do so.

As far as tethering, I am not sure how to do that either. If someone would like to explain it to me, I can try it on both vista and snow leopard.

I am using G1 now, my friend always complaint my voice with many background noise. As I know cliq have noise reduction technology, just like crystaltalk II.
Can you sharing the experience with us when you are in some noisy envirnoment?

One more question, Do u have other android phone? eg. dream / hero.
I just want to know the signal reception ability when compare with those HTC phone. In the spec. of cliq, it mentioned that 2 antennas are provided for better signal reception.

The sound seems to be great on both sides. As far as the signal, I have noticed it to be better than both the g1 and the mytouch (I have had both).

Another huge thing is the proximity sensor. I always liked it on the iphone and couldn't believe they didn't have it on the previous android phones.

proximity sensor can save power.
The signal reception sounds good. I may be change it later since I feel reception is poor than my pervious phone (motorola w510).

Would be mind to do a favorite for me. Could we compare the signal strength eg. dBm and asu for cliq with other htc android phone.
or may be you can let me know how many percentage increased when compare with other phone. (or just say your personal feelings)
If improvement is very large, I must buy it as soon as possible.

No, it is not possible to have two on the auto feed. You will have to run the app for one, and use the motoblur widget for the other.

Not that this is a question someone who owns a Cliq would be able to answer, but no and yes. Will it be able to update the same as a vanilla Android phone, no. Will Motorola integrate the Blur UI into 2.0 and push it OTA, probably yes.

i have the motorola cliq. i want to make folders for pictures. like backgrounds or just randoms pics. i called tmobile. they were like try doing file manager or some stuff like that. cant figure out how to make folders. or save pictures to folders. or is it even possible?!?!

I currently own a G1 but thinking of moving on to the Cliq phone by next month. How does the D-Pad work with games, especially SNES Emu and the like since I play alot of SNES games on my phone.? Thanks!

i have a friend who has this phone. (i have the eris so i understand android a bit). he is loosing emails from his work server. for a specific person he has maybe 20-30 emails on his computer but only 3 show on his phone. i have gone thru options and can not find the solution. all options seem right but then again i do not know as i have the htc sense and dont know the motoblur format very well... any ideas?
