Hello!

sorry about my English....

i have water damage in galaxy s5 of my brother,
i have galaxy s4... the company says that the phone (s5) is dead.

i open and clean all the cheaps and cards with IPA, now the phone is working but there no sound and image, the touch is working to.

i want to know if i can connect the screen of the s4 to the s5 to check if there any image, without assemble it to the phone because its don't fit...

please help, thank you all :)

Take the phone apart, remove battery, etc....

get a gallon zip lock bag or bigger. The more the better.

Place the phone in the zip lock bag, fill it with fresh white rice and zip it closed tight.
leave the phone in the bag of rice for a couple of days.

that will suck out all of the moisture in the phone.
hopefully that will fix some of the problems.

Hey I thought this would be a good place to post this q, if it aint plz bear with me...

I have a screen problem and i really cant find metion of it online. I got a new sgs5 maybe three weeks ago. After 2 days some weird scratches appeared on the display, only visible when the screen was dirty, they look like spots in the glass about a mm wide and a couple of cm long. I would add a picture but its hard to see on a camera.

I took it to samsung that called it doa and replaced it, saying that it was something that sometimes gets burned in the glass (not your standard amoled-burn-in:s though!). However the same thing happened on the next phone, and the next. i tried to replace the screen but today the same kind of problem appeared AGAIN. I'm abit tired of this crap but i like the modell so im wondering if anyone else has experienced the same problem? Maybe all the screens of a special batch got messad up or something.

I appreciate any help, guys! what to do lol???

Not to be a funny guy knowing we all need a laugh or two:eek::D:p:what:. But I need to know two things did you do this to the glass. Lol .and the cake taker is a scratch guard clear plastic on the glass yes aka screen protector put on the glass for protection

Haha yeah that would be an interesting thing to ask about... not to mention the impressive good will on Samsungs side for fixing it... no I did not do this myself and I cannot see how I could manage to do it myself either considering how the "scratches" look. Not at all like ur average glass scratch but like dirt inside the glass sort of

I've just realized that the blotches on the screen probably is the anti-fat coating of the screen coming off. Using a flip cover I noticed the marks on the screen are situated where the edges of the view screen is and as I scratched the edges of the blotches the blotched area actually expanded. Anyone with any kind of experience with these kind of things I would greatly appreciate whatever help you can give.

According to Samsung the problem is being evaluated in Korea as workshops don't have a clear policy on how to handle these problems, warranty wise, but it's been a month now and I haven't heard anything. I figured somebody else would experience the same problems but I can't find anything similar online
