Is there anything like iTunes for android?

I have over 60gb of music (obviously won't fit in entirety) so I need to be able to make playlists and sync them to the phone based on selecting playlists, artists and individual songs.

Needs to have a PC application which drives the show.

I thought sure I read about something like this some months ago, but now I can't remember it.

??

Thanks in advance

While its not a pc program/app, mixzing is a good music player/ playlist/ app that may work in the short term for you. I wouldn't want to go through 60 gigs with it, but you can def get some playlists set up easily. It also has a feature like genius for itunes, that picks similar music and puts it into a certain playlist.

Sorry I don't have a better solution...

You can try downloaing doubleTwist its somewhat like itunes just not as i candy but gets the job done and automatically converts files you send to,it allows drag and dropas well.

Seems mixzing is a nice player, but doesn't really answer the question.

DT seems interesting, but no trial for the phone and the PC app hasn't succeed in doing much. Need to do some more digging thru their forums to see if I can resolve it's problems.

Odd that there's nothing iTunes ish for the Android yet. Most interesting statement I saw was from DT that said you can sync your Android phone from iTunes. Somehow I suspect this isn't going to work as advertised, but that would be ideal, a plug in for iTunes that lets it use an Android device like a native apple product.

Don't knock it if you haven't tried it,if you have iTunes DoubleTwist will sync to it and give you access to your iTunes.

MediaMonkey is decent as is Winamp.

Out of curiosity, why don't you just drag and drop albums into the music folder? I find these media managers that try to take over your collection to be terribly annoying. Granted most aren't as bad as iTunes but still...seems like a plus that you don't need to sync all the time and give control to some application.
