Help Mobile Broadband Connect

Trying to get tethering to work and can't drivers. So I installed the HTC Sync software and does not seem to be any of the drivers needed for tethering. Went to HTC's web site and there is no drivers to download. Anyone else get this working?

I have the services added from Verizon.
I am running Windows XP SP3

HTC Sync isn't for tethering. It's for data sync (contacts, etc). The built-in tethering will (as I understand it) require software from VZW, and will cost $30/month.

Unless you plan to use tethering all the time, you're better off with something like Easy Tether or PDAnet.

EDIT: When you say you have the services added from Verizon, are you paying the $30/month? If so, they should have provided you software for the PC - or I think you can get it here: http://vzam.net/

Get PdaNet..

Its a tether program that only costs under $20 no fees, one time only.

You dont have to pay verizon extra for it.

And it works great.

Just know that verizon will not bother you unless you consistently go over 5gb a month on data.

I have been using tethering programs for years on my phones, with sprint, tmobile, and verizon with no problems.

Sure, you could be the unlucky one that gets caught.. But really, what could happen if you do..

I have the tethering on my INC with the Corporate plan( My comapny pays for it) I belive that when you download and install the VZAccess Manager for the INC, it installs the drivers for the INC.
