NFL Mobile on a TV?

I have the NFL Mobile app on my Samsung S3 and like that I can watch NFL Network and some live games on it. I was just wondering if anyone had tried outputting the video to a TV before, and if so, what did you use and how does it look. I know there are HDMI conversion cables, but I'm guessing that if it's just the small picture blown up to a rally big TV screen, it might look really bad.

Hey FunkyBoss -

I just paid the 5 bucks for NFL mobile streaming on an original verizon motorola droid razr on Sunday - I have been using my razr for streaming (youtube, hulu, netflix) to my tv for years using the HDMI out (still have the grandfathered unlimited data plan) - I have always been disappointed that the NFL app didn't stream as it would detect the HDMI and shut down.

I noticed they recently updated the app so I thought I'd give it a shot again and low and behold it streamed to the TV no problem (this was Sunday, Sept 8). The quality is not HD but definitely good enough (this was over 4g network) - I don't have cable or internet so this was a sweet solution for $5/month (nfl network - Thurs night games, redzone on sunday, and monday night games on espn). Since Sunday I noticed they have updated the app again - I'm a little nervous to update incase this phone-to-TV streaming was not intended...if anyone tries the newest version and it still works let me know and I'll update - (my version is 8.2.1)

MY TV unfortunately isnt SMART, would my LG Smart Bluray player work to do the miracast with the Lg g3? Or would i need to either get a smart tv or something like chromecast or samsung allshare cast? What do you suggest as best short of buying a new tv? I'm super stoked to be able to watch the red zone on my tv during sunday games!!

I don't believe a Smart Blu-Ray player will work, but I can't confirm that. I do know that both devices have to have Miracast capability for it to work, and not just be Smart. Chromecast will not work because the app is not compatible with it. As far as Samsung Allshare Cast, I have no idea as I'm not familiar with it nor have I heard of it. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, and good luck.
