Not sure what happpened just now. Yesterday I rooted and have been running the new NexBeast since (OCing around 900Mhz). I finally got around to configuring my home screens and I attempted to add the picture frame widget to one of my screens. When I chose it I never got to my gallery to choose a photo, it just froze. No "force close" option or anything, just completely stuck. Live Wallpaper even stopped moving. I removed my battery and rebooted. I got the Motorola "M" followed Droid and red Droid eye. Then, like normal, I get to my lock screen where I see on my notification bar that it's preparing the SD card. I'm there for about a second and a half and it just goes back to booting - starting over at Droid and then the red eye coming up and it repeats 3-5 times before finally booting. Everything seems to be fine now, but am I? Is this a "normal" thing to have happen? With being new to rooting I want to make sure I don't have a big concern on my hands. Any thoughts?

You wouldn't happen to be using a notification tone from your sdcard, would you?

Because if you do, you should disable 'sd card notification' because it will try to play that sound before the sdcard is mounted (at boot up time), and that makes the Beast very, very angry, lol.

Yep, that's my problem. So, I should only use a stock notification tone? That would make me a little sad, considering I'm a Star Wars nerd using an R2D2 sound as the notification for my Droid. I just couldn't resist.:D But if I've got to choose between running this ROM or having R2D2 tell me when I've got a text or email, I'm choosing the ROM.

Thanks for the info.

No, you're fine using that notification for your SMS, Email, whatever. Just don't enable SD card notifications.
