I dont know about U, but I am a phone crazy person. I keep changing models atleast twice a yr, but this time I dont feel like changing. I am completely satisfied, Its the right size andits got everything I need. I dont feel tempted by other new phone like nexus or droid or whatever. What do u guys feel? are you satisfied or wanting to change soon??

I too am a phone crazed person! I was happy with my iPhone 3G on T-Mobile, but have used it for about 8 months and was tired of just being stuck with using Edge for data. I just got my Motorola Cliq running and am just starting to dwell in the greatness of it! I actually ordered an HTC HD2 for T-Mobile, but after doing a lot of research in forums, I found that a lot of people are having a lot of trouble with 3G and Edge switching back and forth at will with their phones that are made by HTC, especially the HD2. I have to admit that Motorola does a great job with their hardware and my 3G has been very strong here in the Greater Los Angeles area. The only reason why I kept my iPhone 3G so long was because I loved having my music with me on my phone (and that I have 75% Mac's at home), but I have outgrown my capacity of my 16 GB iPhone and 30GB iPod, so I can live with purchasing a separate 160GB iPod for just music and enjoy the Android phone itself with select music I can place in the Flash memory. I believe the Cliq will hold me over until a "Droid" like device comes to T-Mobile. I am still not a strong believer in HTC hardware yet, but I'm sure they will come around soon.

I want to change. I never use the the MotoBlur feature because it drains my battery way to fast. Plus I only use Twitter anyway. I want to switch to a Android phone that doesn't have Motoblur. I originally wanted to get the Droid, but I can't afford the $400.00 deposit fee on top of the price of the phone. I had to get the Cliq because it was the only Android phone I could afford with a slide out keyboard.

Plus. I'm getting sick and tired of waiting around for Motorola to give us the 2.1 update. I am so tired of being stuck with 1.5

:) i luv my baby cliq, I cant wait for more updates like 2.1 and hopefully just hopefully flash in distant future :D but untill it gets outdated or I loose interest in it I will keep the cliq.
Dzine - Totally agree with you!

I have always gotten real bored after 3-4 months with any phone (MyTouch3G, Blackberries, an iphone 3G) but I'm still enjoying this little Cliq. For me; it just works really well and does all I ask of it in a very pleasing and performant manner. It's a keeper!!!

Curious as to what "droid" like device means to you... Cliq is pretty much the same as the Droid...

Sorry, I meant a phone with a larger screen and faster processor. I know the Motorola Droid only has a 22 MHz faster processor, but that screen size would be nice. The current screen on the Cliq is ok, but it could be a little larger in my opinion. I really can't wait for the 2.1 update though!

I couldn't take it anymore. T-Mobile was fine with 2G on the Sidekick LX, but the Danger data screw up forced me to upgrade before my contract expired. The Cliq was... ok. The touch screen is too small, and the keyboard really should have dedicated number keys (Hitting alt every other button is like trying to tell Ten Second Tom your first name.

Now, I'm on Verizon and have the Incredible. This phone is SO MUCH more comfortable to use, and I don't miss the Physical keyboard at all! Oh, and I had to delete my least used apps on the Cliq to make room for more important ones. Now, I have them all back and theres loads of space for many more!

Motoblur: the only thing I liked about that was merging my contacts.

On the plus side: The Cliq is responsible for my love of Android!

The iPhone is a fantastic phone and so are all the androids... It all depends what you want and need... I personally didnt like the iphone for several reasons, mainly AT&T... The Android gives me more flexibility and I love open source Linux based OS.

To each their own... If you are doubting your purchase, run dont walk and return your cliq and get an iPhone. That feeling wont go away so just cave in like the millions of others...

Good luck

Here I go again! I want to get everyone's opinion on a new phone I am interested in and if you think it's worth the splurge. I currently love my Cliq, but am very interested in the Sony Xperia x10. What do you all think the Sony? It's using Donut 1.6, has a 4" TFT screen, 1 GHz SnapDragon processor, and 8 MP camera with flash. The only thing I don't like is that Sony Ericcson promised an upgrade to 2.1 on the later half of this year which means they could potentially take up to December to deliver! I'd love to hear all of your feedback/opinions. Thanks!

I have used just about every type of phone there is, Blackberry, HTC Touch Pro 2, Iphone 3G. I upgraded to the Cliq when my TP2 self-destructed and could not be happier. I don't use the Motoblur feature since 8 only FB and use Bloo. What's left is great hardware with Android 1.6 (for now, lol). My only complaint is battery life as I have to keep chargers everywhere. Other than that, its perfect.

From what I've read, its a pretty damn good phone! if you don't need a physical keyboard or contact/social network syncing, then whats left points to the X10 as a superior phone. Bigger screen, free GPS, unique UI, better camera,... Hey, the Cliq is still on 1.5, which charges around $3 a month for GPS and isn't compatible with certain apps. Oh, and by the time the X10 gets 2.1, it'll be 100% high end!

When is the Cliq getting updated to 2.1? Ever? There are some great apps that are 2.1 only and I'm experiencing app envy.

To dzine2fit: Yes, Cliq is 1.5.

To: iluvbacon: Cliq is supposed to have diet 2.1 by the end of June. Thats right, I said diet. There are some features of 2.1 that are incompatible. I am curious about what DOES carry over, but don't expect too much from a relatively weak smartphone running a taxing interface. Still, give it a shot when it updates and let me know what features you get.
