Buying the Incredible

What would be the difference of buying the Incredible at Best Buy rather than a corporate Verizon store?

I know BB will give you the instant rebate~ Is Verizon still handing out micro SD cards? How would the troubleshooting process go if I had a problem with the phone?

Best Buy should still be handing out the SD cards, not sure about the Verizon store. I think the best thing is that you don't have to deal with the rebates at Best Buy. But, if you have a new every two discount it might be a little harder getting Best Buy to give you the discount.

As for troubleshooting, if bought at Best Buy, in the first 30 days you would go to Best Buy for an exchange, and after that go to the Verizon for any issue. If you buy it at the Verizon store, then everything is done through Verizon.

I can tell you from my experience last week in the verizon store that i would try to avoid the store by all means possible. I was going in to buy 2 accessories they were holding for me (i called earlier to ask if they had them instock). Anyhow upon entering the store theres 3 kiosks and they tell you to please register. I started registering but it locked up on me. So the lady who came in after me got helped before i did. Then once i got up in line i asked for the person who had the accessories on hold for me. Of course she was busy with someone else. She asked me to wait a minute. Well 15 minutes later and she finally gets a moment to help me. This is why i buy online whenever i can. I wasted nearly 30 minutes in the store to buy a friggin car charger and black & red gradient case. Never again will i step foot in that place.

$149 on amazon. i'm about to buy one but prob. from the local verizon store because my mom dropped my htc droid eris in a giant glass of water. lol

Thanks. I was just worried about the troubleshooting exchange policy mostly. I will definitely swing by the local BB and hopefully come home with the Incredible! + microSD?!

Oh, and the BB employee assured me he could do the NE2 discount. I don't think many people in AZ know much about the Incredible~ There were quite a lot last time I visited.

i called verizon and they said they will not give out a sd chip with the phone and it has 8gb internal memory fyi.

do you know if verizon will charge to set it up or best buy? @?!

Oh yeah, I was wondering how the activation charge would go about too~ Answers?!

And I've read the internal memory will NOT allow you to install apps until the new FroYo or another future update is available.

Just a note to alert people to the fact that NE2 customers like me are getting snail mail from VZ that gives you a full $100 toward the phone even if you are only qualified for $50. I thought it was the typical junk from VZ but this was actually something useful for me.

but the phone still comes out to $199.99 after the rebate. you pay $300 then there is the mail in rebate $199.99
