Using Google Apps Premier

I'm anxiously awaiting my new incredible and am curious about the setup. I have a Google Apps Premier account (paid version) that allows me to use my company email address through google servers. Since my login for this account is not a gmail address with the phone recognize it for setup purposes? I do have a standard gmail account as well but all of my mail goes thorugh the apps service.
Has anyone tried it with a google apps login?

I have a Google Apps standard and it works great. One thing though (and maybe I did something wrong). When using HTC's "Mail" application none of my calendar and contacts came thru. So I had to remove that account (by hard reset) and then used the "Gmail" application. Now I have all of my contacts and calendars syncing up too. Not sure if the same applies to you too (I wanted calendar and contacts). Also, if you have contact groups "Friends", "Family" and "Co-workers" make sure you rename them (e.g. MyFamily) because there's a known Android defect where those groups will be recognized on phone but will get deleted on the Gmail web app (on PC). The contacts stay but the group association is gone.

Thanks for the replies, I do want calendar, contacts, etc. Worst case I'll just have to set things up like I have my WinMo phone, using activesync to pull from googles server, it can act like an exchange server. There are multiple discussions on this, i was just hoping for an easier way.

I have 5 email accounts on mine. 1 is an Exchange account for work, 1 Gmail & 3 pop3 accounts. All of them sync to my calendar. You have the option to select which calendars you want to display. They are color coded based on which account the info is coming from.

I just got the phone yesterday, had the Eris before. The one thing I truly like about this phone is when you go to switch between email accounts, it now indicates which account has the unread mail. On the Eris I would either have to go into the Notification screen to see which account it was or just click through all of them.

As I use my phone for business first, personal second, I had the same fear. When I got the phone I set up my Google Apps account FIRST, because this becomes your default account for your app store purchases. If you want to use your personal account as your App Store account, you'll need to set that one up first.

Someone else may know how to change the default account, but this is a problem I ran into when I rooted my Moto Droid. I set up the wrong one first, and all my Market purchases disappeared. I then wiped the phone again and set my Google Apps account up first and everything worked fine.

I think this was in reference to the premier account not being an "@gmail.com" account (and thus possibly not working with the native GMail client).

Correct, that is what I was worried about.

I have Google Apps Premier, and setup was a breeze. I simply entered my email address (example: xxx@mydomain.com), Google apps password, and everything setup automatically.

Works perfectly, except for some images in email not displaying, but that was a problem on my Eris as well.

Great!! Exactly, what I wanted to hear. Now if FedEX would hurry up!!!!
