1200ma charger safe to use?

Having recently upgraded from a Nokia N85 I have a spare micro USB charger now. Comparing it to my HTC charger it has an output of 1200ma as opposed to the 1000ma from the HTC. Is it OK to use the Nokia charger with my Desire, or will the higher output do something nasty to my battery?

Regardless of whether a 1 or 10 amp charger is used... The phone only draws 400ma on charge. See my previous post in Desire Battery Consumption for more information on this.

So why does it charge at different rates on USB and AC ?
