Hello Android, Buh-bye Winmo! No activesyncing..

HELLOO!!!
New Android user here, stock MotoDroid 2.1 VZW. I'm enjoying this phone, its soo much more stable and faster than my last winmo 6.5 on touch pro 2! Winmo on TOUCHscreen phones are too flaky and unreliable despite different ROMs.
I use Vista and I've only used winmo 'smart'phones for the last 5 yrs.
Im not sure of an easy way to sync my files by WIFI. I'm trying to avoid using any USB syncing and tether options, but apparently I need to use my Vista computers as an ftp server in order to transfer and sync files OTA, correct??? Is there any easier way to do this, kind of like windows Activesync?

I have not rooted my phone yet. If I need to I will, I'm just seeing what I can do on this stock ROM... so far so good
