I have two great Droid versus Iphone events. I am a pilot for an airline and here are the events:

First time we were in MSP and we were eating lunch and the captain and I were talking and he was thinking about moving to Texas and be based out of New York. Well he decided he wanted to see how many direct flights between the two airports daily. I sat there with my droid in my pocket and watched him for about a minute and a half. He first said he had no signal and then he was grumbling about something else. Finally I couldn

haha really, i have had NOTHING but good praises. plastic, no... never had that issues. junk.... no, force close, thats the apps you use, not the device, awesome virtual keyboard... swype! with swype, it usually always guesses my words, give it a chance, good luck with the iphone. maybe it'd suit you better if you aren't searching for solutions

iphone has performed for me in all ways the droid has not. the touch screen is far below iphone and so are the apps. even if i would have a faulty app on there it wouldn't delete all my texts, etc. for no reason. I'm going to blame it on motorola. They're products haven't been good for a long time.

that sucks. wait on apps, i think the screen rocks, never had an issue, the text deleting thing DOES suck, heard about it. We get like 10 new good apps that are amazing a week probably and 500 that are pretty decent. You have to give it time. Android is already catching up, 50000 apps strong. A lot of crap, but not much can be done right now.

The apps do suck. From the looks of it, you can get viruses from some? Not too sure about that. Most of them are useless too or the apps don't function correctly. Alot of people complain about apple having too tight of control on their apps but its better in the long run because then you dont get complaints about them not functioning. All Google/the phone companies need to do is give me better multitouch and I'm good to go.

Sounds more like ATT issues than iPhone...

Users Report 3G Reception Issues, Analyst Says Blame The Chipset

I'm not going to deny that Verizon's coverage generally is superior, but there's this and other articles saying that the iPhone's cheapy chipset may be to blame. Looking at all the problems with their graphics chipsets on the macbooks and the crappy screen problems on the new iMacs and numerous other problems they have with production, along with the fact that independent tests of network speeds not using iphones to test speed show AT&T way faster than Verizon even though I've never seen an iPhone get download speeds anywhere near mine. ...run on sentence... Sounds more like Apple issues than AT&T
