2.0 roms?

i am thinking of getting a different Rom perhaps one of the 2.0 or 2.1 roms. i have the wireless tether app on my phone and use it quite often.
i dont recall downloading it, i think it was just on my phone when i put fresh1.1 on my phone. is that something that was included with fresh 1.1?
when i do end up flashing a different ROM, what steps do i need to take?

First, do a nandroid backup. Then, make sure the rom zip is on the root of the sd card. Next, boot into recovery, wipe data and dalvik, then go to option to flash zip from sd card, choose that and follow commands. should take a little while...up to 10 min or more the first time it boots....

i use fresh2.0d and the OS is 2.1...it came with wireless tether...i've had it for less than a week and love it..i never used DC...

Im running fresh 2.0d, and like it. Some say the new damage control, version 2.08 i believe, is really good....

Wireless tether comes with fresh. Don't know about damage

got the 2.0d on my phone and all. i rebooted and it's now stuck on the HTC screen. I know it's not frozen because I can see a cloud like shadow behind HTC, but it's just sitting there at that screen? does it normally take awhile to startup?

when i pull up fresh kitchen 1.0.5 it says fail next to java and remount? how can i fix this? i can't seem to locate a java.exe file? and it says my phone either a. isn't rooted or b. not running a rom that supports it? HELP again!!!!
