Phone vibrates while in the middle of a call

While I'm talking to someone, if I receive a text/alarm goes off/or any other notification that vibrates, the phone still vibrates even though I'm in the middle of a call. It is very annoying to have the phone vibrate while it's against my face, and the person I'm talking to can hear it as well. It just started doing this a few weeks ago, and nothing seems to fix it. Has anyone else experienced this or know of a way to fix it?

I dunno if you can disable notifications during a call, but do you really need vibration with notifications and calls? I turned mine off and it seems to have a good effect on battery as well.

I prefer having vibe with notifications, if I'm at work or listening to music sometimes I can't hear anything but can only feel it.

I see. I don't think there's anything for turning off notifications. Otherwise they'd just sit there or all beep at once once you got off the phone.

I sort of wish a tone would be audible while on a call for notifications. Just cause if I get a text or something, I don't realize it until i either look at the phone or hang up.

Yea there used to be a tone only with 1.5... 2.1 seemed to take that away.
If u used handcent SMS you can opt to just have a tone. Very nice. another plus of handcent!

+1 hancent also fixed that for me, for text notifications.

there is a option in handcent to turn it off. but not in the stock app

+1 for handcent you can choose to have it vibrate or play sound while on a call, or disable.

Not sure what OS version you are running on your phone, but I do believe there is a setting somewhere to make it vibrate when you go in/out of roaming.

Maybe this is your problem?

Are you still using 1.5 or did you upgrade to 2.1? If so, which version are you running?

I'm assuming you mean while using a bluetooth. Yes, that is very annoying. I don't mind a vibration notification with phone up to my ear because I want to know that I have a text or whatever. I can see how it would be annoying though.

No...this is a new feature...not a bug.
