My phone is in my pocket often as i leave my desk at work; no need to leave my gem out in the open alone... ;)

When I set the phone down on hard surfaces, i can hear a bit of a noise almost like two screws tapping together. What I think is, it may be the device that makes the phone vibrate...

my real question is if i can feel the phone hitting against my leg as i walk around, is that going to break anything overtime?? or did that create this rogue noise i hear when i set the phone down? Leaning towards paranoia, but wanted to see what i could get! :)

Most phones are put through extensive testing to make sure they will last a while and not break easily. You don't have anything to worry about as long as you aren't throwing your phone around or constantly dropping it.

If you are really worried about it get insurance. I mentioned this in another thread:

You can get a personal articles insurance policy from most of the major insuance companies that are cheaper than verizon or squaretrade.

I got a personal articles insurance policy on my Incredible for $35 a year from State Farm. That covers everything, theft, accidental, whatever with no deductible or charge when you file a claim. Here's some more info on the subject from State Farms website:

That sound you are hearing is the metal camera plate hitting the surface before the phone. If this really irritates you, then you can get a case that will cover it up. But it won't cause harm to the camera- the actual lens is under the glass cover.

Your phone hitting against your leg as you walk around will not cause any damage.
