Help Incredible not working in car mount

I got my Incredible last week. Along with it I bought the HTC car mount from the Verizon store. When the phone was placed into the mount the touch screen would not work. The phone works fine out side of the holder, and fine in the holder but not when the holder is attached to the suction cup arm. It's like the phone is squeezed or something... it wont even unlock. I took the holder back to the Verizon store, the tech support girl was confused as well. We pulled another holder out from the back and it did the same thing. She said she would put a notice out for the issue but no one else had sold a car mount to have any experience. Is it my phone?

mine works in my car mount, it's not the official VZW mount though.

Found this thread while looking for a solution for my EVO. Really was not expecting to find anything. Thanks for the info.
