Accessories Evo battery, same as Touch Pro2 or Hero?

Does anyone know if the Evo battery is the same as the Touch Pro2 or Hero? From what I understand, the TP2 and Hero batteries are the same and I thought I read somewhere that the Evo batter is also the same. Just looking for confirmation. I have 2 extra batteries for my TP2 and would love to be able to use them for the Evo.

Thanks.

The Hero has a 1350mAh battery so definitely not. Both the Evo and the TP2 have 1500mAh batteries, no one would know really unless you got your hands on an Evo and compared the two.

I'm seriously considering getting this charger, for emergency purposes. Has anybody ever tried it that can explain exactly how it works exactly? Does it mean that I'll need to carry around a small cable also?

i think it would be easier to buy two spares and a battery charger and have an extra battery on u while one is home charging

I have a Hero. I have an EVO.

Both have the same capacity (1500 mAh) and dimensions. The first thing I did was swap them. Worked perfectly.

The thing is ...

The EVO has a non-standard (annoying) mini-usb charger, whereas the hero has the more typical mini-usb charger. So I have 8 chargers cords for the hero and only 1 for my EVO.

My plan...
Keep the hero as a "charge station", rotate batteries through it. Everywhere I go, I have a "hero charger"... so I just toss my hero in my work bag and keep it on a charger when I'm at work/home/car.

Then,
- Hero always charges
- When EVO battery gets low, swap batteries
- Hero always charges

Perfect. Infinite battery life. Kinda.

Thanks you! I never would have thought to check dimensions and specs (dumb me). I had a Hero and the girlfriend still does. So this means we have the two 1500ma batteries and a Mugen Power 1800ma replacement I picked up and used in my old Hero. Im am so stoked to find out that we can interchange battiers.

Its the new standard. The Hero had the old mini-usb, micro-usb is the new wave. All new phones will be coming with it now.

Soon they will all be mini USB to accomidate smaller and smaller technology.

They also seem to moving away from fixed wall chargers too .. most now have USB female out with 5v (300ma to 1A) output - just plug the usb cable of choice. I might be wrong, but they all seem to be interchangable.

If you can wait a week or two, USB cables and USB chargers are very cheap on Ebay from China.. talking $2.00 shipped.

I purchased a generic USB car charger for $2 from ebay 5v 700ma out. works great on my Samsung Epic and what was nice is that when unpluged all I see is the USB female from the 12 volt socket.

USB is quicky becoming the standard for low DC voltage devices. I'm sure a car is about to come with USB port built in on the dash - if not already here.

here's the future:

Yes I have both the Touch Pro 2 & the Evo and I have used and charged both batteries on each phone interchangeably. The size is a perfect fit, BUT, get this, I also use a 3500 mAH extended battery interchangeably for both phones as well (just a different back cover for a custom fit.). With the 3500 mAH, I get 3 days of conservative use, or a full 15 hours on maximum use (4G, WiFi, BlueTooth, & GPS turned on the whole time.) But if I stream videos or use game apps a lot, the battery time drops to 11 to 12 hours. STILL a lot better than the OEM 1500 mAH battery. :)
