Help! Droid frozen, getting warm!

My Droid Eris is frozen. It is playing Pandora, but won't do anything else. I can't stop Pandora. The lock screen came up and won't come down. And it won't respond to my power off command. It is getting warm!

Remove back cover. Take out battery. Put battery back in. Power on phone.

Actually, there's an app for that.

By which I mean the application of leverage to a tool placed in the machine seal.

Well, the iphone never fails to reboot when holding Home+lock

Never had the iPhone lock up on me to begin with.


Do our phones automatically shut down when they get too hot?

AHah, well, I did a lot of jailbreaking and software mods when I was on shi**y at&t to my iphone 3g, I had a lot of hangups when experimenting. The first iphone 3G software was VERY buggy... OS 2.0, yes, super buggy, 2.1 fixed up all the hangups in the non-jailbroken world.

I don't think they technically shut themselves off, but I know that when it is charging, if it gets above 117F or so it will stop charging until the temp goes back down, say.. if its laying under a blanket or something.

I used my phone when I reinstalled Windows on a computer and had it downloading through tether, all the updates necessary. I think that was the hottest I had ever felt my phone get.
