Manufacturing Changes

Since I have had numerous droids now (5) I have seen the droid gain and lose parts.

Here is a picture of my latest two droids side by side.

Notice how on the right the SD cards slot has changed

the left phone has a date of 03/10 while the right has a date of 14/10


I have also noticed the inclusion of this full date sticker on the fight side of the battery compartment. My first few didnt have these.

Anyone eles notice differences between theirs and others, or other changes?

i just got a brand new one and it looks more like the one on the left, however mine doesn't have that full sticker on it. i think that might be a refurb thing. not necessarily meaning it is actually refurbished (though probably) but went through that replacement program. mine is a 17/10.

If they changed it so the card is on the side and not blocked by the battery- THAT is a change for the better

Mine is 43/09 and it looks like the one on the right.

Maybe they are just manufactured in more than one location and the process/parts used are slightly different.

My first droid had the raised keys. I didn't realized what the raised keys were until I got my second droid and lost the keys. I really miss those keys

i'm now on my second droid and i notice that this one is tighter- the screen is less wobbly.
i read things that said removing the plastic backing didn't matter so i did and, ouch, the wobble began. I now think that in the process of plastic removal i pulled the screen up a little.

i now am not taking the plastic off. The issue isn't the plastic it's my HE MAN HANDS.

Mine is number 7 for me. It does have the full date (MOT7850304/17/2010) and it is a 15/10 it's still black under the SDcard.
