Can't download MMS

Lots of people have this problem. Its supposed to be fixed with the 2.1 update. A hard reset back to factory settings will temporarily fix the problem. If you don't want to do a hard reset and re-customize everything then the best workarounds are to either tell people to email the pics or to go to the sprint picture mail website to view them.

That's ridiculous. I have had this phone since November and have been fortunate enough to avoid the majority of problems that most Hero users have encountered. I'm on the phone with Sprint right now and they can't even figure it out. Makes me kind of wish I had stayed with US Cellular. Haha

This issue is definitely my biggest complaint. Sprint actually gave me a credit on my bill last month because of it. I had read about other people getting a credit so I figured I'd ask too. I hard reset my phone once to fix the problem but when it started happening again after a month I decided I would just deal with it until the update. Important people know to email me pics and otherwise I just use the website. Sprint will try resetting your profile and lots of other things that don't work, just ask for a credit!

$15... I heard of people getting more but thats what they gave me and I'm satisfied.

Well, the lady that was helping me did all that you explained. She said she was a "moment user who fully understands my frustration of not getting the 2.1 update" and I didn't even think to ask for a credit. On the plus side though, she offered me a $7 credit for my troubles.

Also, she tried telling me that she doesn't think that Sprint will release 2.1 for the Hero because they are focusing solely on the EVO at this point. FWIW.

Possible, but unlikely. Or, if true, I wouldn't expect the Moment to get 2.1 either since Sprint already has the Moment's replacement from Samsung going through testing too.

Yeah we all know how much any of the Sprint employees know about this update. The update will be here sooner or later and it has already been stated by Google that all US Android phones will be updated to 2.1.
