I read that HTC have no plans to release this phone here in the UK, I really want it over the desire for the increased internal app storage...

If I bought it on ebay and had one shipped over, could I unlock it and use it with my own UK sim? (Since it's android and open I am hoping this is possible)

Thanks!

Sorry that is negatory. There is no sim slot in the Incredible

Wow, you just saved me an expensive mistake...

I was lead to beleive that the only differences between the desire and the incredible where the built in memory and of course the camera.

Do you think we will see a similarly spec'd sim based android phone with plenty of space for apps any time soon? Or should I just bite the bullet and get the desire?

Thanks again

Sprint uses SIM cards so you could look into the EVO 4G

Similarly spec'd with SIM would be the Nexus One.

The storm was CDMA and could be unlocked so its not nescessarily that CDMA cannot be unlocked.

The Storm has several radios for CDMA, and GSM reception. The Incredible and similarly Droid Eris and Droid are all only CDMA. None of the Verizon Android phones have the radios for GSM and therefore would only work in extremely select areas of the world. Basically the US, Brazil, and parts of Asia. But even then the technologies can be vastly different. Hence why a Chinese WCDMA device can't be used on a CDMA network, WCDMA is closer to GSM's 3G DATA...

P.S. If I am misinformed, please let me know. This is all from google research.
