If I buy a battery off of ebay...

I'm looking to buy another battery for my Eris on ebay... I was looking specifically for HTC batteries that hold more than the 1750 mAh one.... my question is... if I am looking for a random battery that has a good chance of working on and fitting in my eris what specs should I look for? What size? Any other things I need to be careful about? I have absolutely no idea how batteries work, but I have read all the threads about better batteries for the eris. Now I want to buy one. Thanks for the help.

Well, I was talking about a battery that wasn't specifically designed for the eris, but might work... if that is too risky, or there aren't really any... I might just go for the 1500 mAh one designed for the eris... its so cheap.

there are other that work, i think the imagio battery is reported to work.

For what its worth, on eBay, I got 2 1500's and a charger for about 14 dollars with
free shipping. So far, so good......and you can't beat the price.

I got two laptop chargers shipped to me from China unknowingly. Big mistake for not checking where they shipped from. Cheap? Yes. But it took me a month to get them. A freaking month.

It could have been the seller that was just a ****. But be careful shipping from overseas. Just select the option to search only from US sellers.

yeah i noticed that now haha thanks. battery seems to be doing well so far,i bought a Touch pro2 non oem battery. doing great and its just the first charge cycle.. what do u reccomend doing... draining the battery down a couple times and then charging it all the way up? i have read that its a myth about cycling batteries but who knows. r your hong kong batts not working ? apparently the battery charger i bought was shipped from hong kong, i bought it from a "US SELLER" on ebay lol.

so far the battery has been doing about the same as the stock eris battery. i dont notice a difference.
