Buy a case! Or else...

My Incredible fell from a 24" coffee table onto the hardwood floor.

Screen shatter!

My plan also. I have the silicone case but am still waiting on the Nexus One sleeve and my Incredible. I hope it won't be too hard to get the phone out with the silicone case on.

somebody on here said it was pretty snug, but that's fine with me! i refuse to take the silicone case off. it's too good a case to not have on. plus, the neoprene will learn to stretch.

Yeah kind of disapointing , coming from the Eris which was a mini tank.

To the OP how did it fall, did it fall flat on the back side of the phone ? maybe landing directly on the camera lens.

I have had in order the Red/Black Hard Case (felt cheap, felt like it would protect the phone but was cheap) got the Body Glove (Felt awesome, made the phone feel indestructable . Only problem was the side of it messed up the accesability of edge of the screenfor my big fingers)
Now I have a black silicon case and love it, while I don't think it's the best I think that the fact that it does make the camera lens even with the case so not all the force will go to one spot. Plus it didn't make the phone too big and still keeps a nice look I also think the 2150battery back will fit in this case.

I'm actually not positive exactly how it landed. I had it plugged in (short cord that it comes with) and my 9 month old niece crawled across the cord and it yanked the phone off the table. It sounded like someone took a baseball bat to a car window. I'm assuming it landed flat on the front, but I'm really not sure.

The good (?) news is, everything still functions just fine. No screen malfunction or touch malfunctions. Just (!) the cracked glass.

Pretty sad about it, as I was very excited to get the phone, and have really been loving it int he week and a half I've had it.

I do in fact have insurance, and plan to swap it out. But, I'm waiting to see if something like the Otterbox or CandyShell type case comes out soon. I'd hate to have a brand-new pristine phone with no case. I'd be nervous. If it goes much longer, however, I'll get a new one, and put a normal silicone on it to try and protect it.

Protect your phones, folks! I can't guarantee that a case would have prevented this, but I sure do like to think it would have.

I got the silicone case from Verizon its hideous really takes away from the natural sexiness of the phone makes it kinda thick too but I guess it'll do until seidio/ Verizon comes out with something better not really trying to take any chances ..I think they could have built this a little better its powerful but in a weak shell :(

Yea dropped mine talking onto the pavement standing up. It's in the red and black gradient case. It put a ding in the corner and the case fell apart but the phone still works and the dinged corner is completely covered with the case back on. I'm poor so I went with the $1.99 insurance. The other was $5.99 a month I think and $89 deductable so I gotta be more careful but they can take a big fall if it lands right lol. Mine was a 6 foot drop in a parking lot.

How much is the deductible with the $1.99 insurance?

sorry you don't like the case! do you have the red or black? i have the black and love it. it's just thick enough to prevent the camera lens from protruding, a big plus to me.

$1.99 isn't an insurance option, its an extended warranty and it does 0% good until after the 1 year manufactures warranty expires. Basicly you have to pay for it for a full year before it takes effect and then it only covers manufactures defects.
