Am i able to exchange my Hero for another phone if it hasnt been 30 days ?

I got this HTC hero like maybe a week ago, i like it but i have noticed alot of anoying things about this phone..

1. Its a little sluggish and the sluggishness makes it hard to type on the keyboard, my Ipod its so much easier to type on so i hardly ever use the phone when im at home to browse the internet when im in bed or something..

2. I have dust under my screen already

3. Flash player doesnt work, and aparently Adobe wont upgrade the flash player because the hardware sucks.

4. Youtube wont play any video's.. So when im outside and want to show a friend or something some video on youtube i cant because yeap it wont play..

So whats the point of having 3G or an Unlimited data plan if i can play any video's or youtube not working ?

Am i able to return this phone and exchange it for something else from sprint ? Does anyone know if they do that kinda thing

You have 30 days from date of purchase. It may cost a 35$ restocking fee, but if you're a new customer, it will prob be waived...
There really isn't a better android phone through sprint currently, so if you don't like it you either have to wait for the evo or go to verizon or att, and pay way too much for your plan...

Good luck!

EDIT-
Have you tried youtube through the browser instead of the app? many people can get it to work that way.....

Cant i just spend $100 more and get the Incredible ? Or is that for verizon only ?

I like my Hero i just really wish the phone's youtube function worked... Its realllllly anoying, and not having any flash website's work also sucks.. All i see is a F and video's dont load they just sit there.

I don't believe android supports flash, yet. they're working on it.

The incredible is only through veirzon. The evo will be way better than the incredible if you can wait.....

Na, there is a thread on the adobe forums, stating they wont ever support the Hero with the latest flash because its CPU is to slow. So we wont ever have flash support.

when is the evo comming out ? Cause i have only 3 weeks left on my 30 days.. The only thing i could do is return it but my plan it already signed and done...

Also, if you really like the hero, root it and keep it. Rooting and loading a custom rom make it an awesome phone. Fixes the lag, youtube works, you get the newer market.... It changes everything about it.

Is rooting basicly the same as unlocking the ipod's and iphone's ? I did that to my Ipod awhile back..

This wont hurt my phone will it ?

**Disclaimer**

There is a very small chance you could brick it. If you can cut and paste and follow directions, you can do it. It is very easy. There are a ton of people here that can help, if you need it.

This is a great place to learn about it. Just read a lot and you will see all about it!

I would return the phone and A) wait for the evo B) wait for the next android phone that isnt as big as the evo. I went into to the Sprint Repair Center yesterday and the guy owned one too and was not happy either, except he said "maybe" he rooted his and it works now, or "maybe" he didn't. Either way, it seems if you root your phone it will preform for you. If you aren't comfortable with doing that then take it back and wait for the next wave of android phones to come out on Sprint.
