Damage 2.08 Audio fix?

So is anybody aware if there is an audio fix yet for DC 2.08? i know there were two fixes for 2.07, but from what ive seen, they do not work with the updated rom.

and for the past two days i have been having the audio issue where i cant hear anybody when i answer a call nor is there any sound coming from my ringers, etc.

I tried the RC patch, stuck on HTC screen for over 20 minutes. Gave up after trying it couple ways. Not going to bother with the other one.

I haven't tried the other one, but the first is clearly is not working with my ROM (DC 2.8.1) =(

I'll give the other one a go and hopefully will get better results than Davec

There is now a patch available through dcupdater, I applied it.
I'll test it for a day and report back how it did.
It's experimental so you can't filter out that category in updater if you want to try it.

I just wanted to add a little to what is going on with the audio fix. I read through most of the thread that the fix is posted on and although they have found the patch that seems to work, it isn't guaranteed. No one knows what causes the audio loss exactly, so it cannot totally be fixed. Some people get lucky, and it works, others aren't so lucky. The only thing you can do is try. Make sure that before you flash anything, you do a nandroid backup, just in case something goes awry.

I'm a proponent of trying it if you have had the audio loss, because it seems to have totally cured all my loss issues. I hope that this little bit of info can help.... Good Luck to all..

There is now a patch available through dcupdater, I applied it.
I'll test it for a day and report back how it did.

So far so good. Numerous test calls inbound/outbound sleep/awake no issues.
We'll see how it does tomorrow.

yea. i read on xda that some people still had the audio issue after the update through dc.

i know you installed it. how is it so far?

nice. def keep me posted. if it seems to work, ill just to a restore of the 2.1 and try the fix.

im kinda bored now lol...i think im gonna restore back to 2.1 and install that fix and see how it works throughout the day while im at work.

18 hours no audio loss at all.
It's solid on my phone.

very cool. i ended up doing a restore for the 2.1 and put the fix on there also about 2 hours ago...however...havent been able to test at all since im busy at work lol.

ill make some calls later on and test and update when i can

when I updated to 2.08.1 got the audio loss issue. Just downloaded the patch again. kinda suxs but i still like 2.1.

1.nandroid back up
2. go into RA wipe memory
3. flash 2.08.1 ROM
4. Flash the audio fix.
5. Enjoy successfully!

If you don't have a custom rom, and you're gonna flash one, see if you have the audio loss before you flash the audio loss fix... Just sayin
