EVO EVENT: What do YOU want to know about the HTC EVO 4G?

Hey all,

I'm on a train (not a boat) headed to the EVO 4G event and am wondering what are you most curious to learn about the EVO 4G? I'll take a read through your comments before I walk over to the event and try to get as much information as possible.

No promises... but I figured it'd be nice to hook all you potential owners up with the answers you so badly want!

-price
-release date
-cost of commercial hotspot app
-what kind of apps are unique to this device and take advantage of its unique features like Wimax and front camera

RAM and ROM are the internal memory. Storage space != memory.

- Release date
- Unit price (subsidized by Sprint)
- Sprint Plans that EVO can be on
- Cost of Hotspot app.
- Data and Voice simultaneously

I'm pretty sure you know what the movie will be like: cool CGI, cheesy story, lots of flashy effects and loud noises

Are there white circles around the capacitive buttons on the bottom of the phone, or do they just light up when touched?

As for the phone:
-How much internal memory will it have? Will it get a 8GB boost like the Incredible did?
- Any FroYo goodies always appreciated.
-What apps have been specially designed for the Evo in addition to Qik
-Do they mention transitioning from 4G to 3G and how the process works
-Anything about battery consumption.


Just a few topics I'm interested in. Thanks for opening the floor to us a bit. Will you be taking any pics of the event? Do you wish you had an 8MP camera to assist you?

6: Can you use an older HTC video out cable (like from the Touch Pro 2) connected to the Micro USB and get SD video out? Or is HDMI the only way to get video out?

I asked about internal memory because the htc incredible has 8gb of internal memory and 512 ram/rom (not sure exactly wat the amount is) and was wondering will the EVO also have the 8gb of internal memory...thanx

Has Sprint/HTC worked out any deals with Google Talk and/or Skype to provide video conferencing using the front facing camera... and what's the latest on VOIP... and if so, will it work only on 4g or 3g as well???

What sort of horizontal accuracy can we expect from the GPS???

Will it ship with 2.2, if not, do you plan to provide 2.2 upgrades in a few months or in the Fall???
