A) Buy one less pack of cigarettes a month
B) If you don't smoke, go to McDonalds twice less a month.
C) Buy 10 less songs from iTunes a month.
D) Don't buy the phone.

It's simple. there's a bunch of options, but bitching and moaning doesn't get you anywhere. I think the phone is going to be fantastic, and I plan to be first in line at my BB.

We were promised no additional charge for 4g, I don't even have it in my city but I'm supposed to pay for it that's bullshit.

I didn't see it be promised in writing. Everything is always subject to change. Get over it. you want a premium phone, pay the premium price. Plain and simple. It's still fking cheaper than iPhone service. Nuff said.

Oridus,
People who say "nuff said" and "thanks" are not positive additions to open conversation. I fear its people who nerd out on this to stroke their "know-it-all-isms" that will create the tides of people's distaste for android and whatever phone you are a fan of. How about a real argument or facts, versus telling people how they shouldn't complain.

Screw the OS fragmentation, the android user fragmentation is getting ridiculous... stop hating on people for one thing or another, how bout actual information, not just boredom induced crap... like how it's still cheaper than other phone services. People can't fight over OSs anymore so they resort to Sprint Vs Verizon, or HTC...vs HTC.. seriously... you and any like you that instantly bite off the heads off anyone with a question or unemotional opinion.. we are all better off without you.

I'm sorry. Maybe I wasn't blunt enough.

If you don't like the $10 charge, don't purchase the phone. Plain and simple.

I want this phone..
I will get this phone..
I will pay the $10/month...
I will complain every f-ing month (and more) when I pay that $10 tax...

Just because I am willing to take the slap in the face.. dont mean I have to like it!!

I just dont like the way Sprint/Dan said one thing then do another. Or how they presented it.

OK, so I think it has been well established that most people can afford the $10 extra, but most are frusterated with Sprints less than clear explanation for the fee. Sprint users do not get much in the way of phones to brag about, but when the EVO was announced, it seemed too good to be true. After everyone got all excited, Sprint announced a $10 monthly fee to use the phone. Not a 4g charge, not a tethering charge, an EVO CHARGE!

I would think it would have gone over better to require a $19.00 tethering fee with the EVO 4g, than a $10.00 fee for nothing inparticular. Sprint could have gotten 10 more dollars per month per EVO subscription, they would have had the best tethering deal out there, and noone would be circumventing their $29.00 tethering fee with apps, or rooted phones.

... look you arnt being charged for the 4g you are being charged an increased subsidy rate... this phone should easily be 650$ + with all the hardware thats packed inside of it but sprint gave it to us for 450 thats where the 10$ a month comes.

Then charge me more for the phone and no 10 dollars a month that lasts as long as I have the phone.

Tiako, you are right. Once they know they can get away with higher prices, you can be sure that every phone worth purchasing from here on out will have a $10 fee attached to it. The hardware is not worth $650.00 I have an HTC HD2, almost the exact same phone on T-Mobile and it is $450.00 off contract. That is the cost for this hardware.
