You should all get Mobile Barcoder addon for Firefox!

There was a thread a little while back in the App forum about this, but I figured I'd mention it here.

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/2780/

With that addon, firefox will generate a QR code of the webpage you are currently viewing that can be scanned by our phones (using Shop Savvy, Barcode Scanner, etc). This will of course take you to that webpage on your phone's browser without typing a thing! Easy!

What better way to be reading these forums, mother nature calls, and you simply scan the code and continue browsing these forums with your Incredible in the bathroom! I'm sure you all can think of more productive uses for this, but yeah... :D

sorry to be a kill joy, but isnt it easier to just email yourself the link on your phone and just click the link when you hit the bathroom? It seems like scanning a barcode to get to the site on your phone would take a bit longer and waste an already painfully grumpy battery :)

no.
not if u are like me and have on your second screen the barcode scanner :)
posted this (with the OP info an all :) ) in the eris forum.

This is what I thought. What would be better would be an extension that had one button. A click of that button would immediately send a text or email to my phone with the current page address.

This would take 1 second.

1. Click button.

Versus.

2. Click button, generate QR Code. Take out phone. Switch to barcode scanner. Wait for camera to load. Wait for scanner to see QR code. Wait for link to generate.

3.

EDIT:

From firefox, right click>send link>brings up Outlook>inputs my gmail address>send

Done.
