Hey guys I've been on the forums watching updates for a while but have come to you today with need of everyones experience about the Droid Eris. I am helping an investigation into a harrasment claim at my place of work and need your help in solving this.

The victim a female has a droid eris running version 1.5 and has for the past while been receving annoumyus text messages from a person who appears to be stalking her. The stalker seems to always know who she was called, where she has been, and what messages she has recievied or sent. As a tech and another Droid Eris user (I'm rooted 2.1) I have been asked to look into wheter or not her phone has been "bugged"

I have looked into a couple options but nothings turned up yet.
Thats where I need your help. What programs or apps can be hidden but monitor the use of a droid?

Thanks for anyone helping in this. This poor women is scared to death right now.

the stalker either works for verizon or has a "in" at verizon.

that or he is physcially stalking her

that or he is a good guesser

i dont know of a program that could hide itself and transmit all that data

and how would he access her phone to put it on there

call the cops and tell them, they have the technical know how (i hope) to trace teh number....easily.

Sounds to me like YOU are looking to bug someones phone.

Besides that being outside my ethics and moral code if I had wanted to bug her phone the program is called ******** which is only detactable by dialing the ******** on the phone which pulls up the configuration screen. All logs of phone calls and mms and sms messages are sent to a website for review by the person who installed the software. I was already aware of this program and checked. She does not have it on her phone. The internal HR department has asked me to look into this avenue as they want to get proof to fire him and then send him to the police for a criminal investigation afterwards.

But I do thank you for being concerned.

Let the police do THEIR job. It's not your job... She should have already gotten her phone number changed too. Why hasn't she ? The police will tell her to do this too.

Let the police ID the person and if he/she works at the same company, then deal with it (fire the person, etc). You don't want to accuse the person and fire them and be wrong, do you (or your HR dept) ?

just contact the popo man, or beat the crap outta the guy till he admits it.

Not to say that hasn't been thought of

For those saying go to the police we have spoken with them already. Until thier is a reasonable suspicion that she is being monitored they can't do anything. Which is why we're looking to find some type of monitoring software.

So the bolded part of your first post... that does not provide reasonable suspicion?

Dont our tax dollars pay for multi-millon dollar crime labs that have the technology and training to access cell phones and look for irregularities? If law enforcement has been reduced to scouring internet chat rooms and forums looking for the answers, then I think I'm gonna need to buy a few extra boxes of rounds to protect myself.
