Hero wont read old SD card

Hi,
I am new to android. Got HTC Hero recently. Had HTC TyTN windows mobile. The Sd card from TyTn is not read by Hero. Files like MS word, Adobe, notepad etc are being detected, but when tried to open, it says application not found. I have downloaded sd card reader from market, but still the same problem. I am still using my old phone because of this.
Can anyone help me please?

Maybe you don't have a program to open these files? I'm not sure, because I have docs2go, but I remember potentially trying to open something before I got this app and it gave me an error. If you can see the files, chances are the phones reading the card ok.

I am super new to android and just got a HTC Hero and whenever i want to take a picture it says please insert a SD card. If anyone knows how to fix this please email me at Brock@gmail.com
