This is why I haven't said anything. I'm unhappy with the extra charge for a "premium phone" (that has many of the same specs as other phones that don't get an extra charge), but the iPhone did the same thing when it was released (new, more expensive plan), and this Sprint plan is still cheaper than what I'm paying for my Iphone. Better phone & better plan for cheaper. I'll take it. Less dropped calls I hope too.

I've had Sprint for 10 years, and, aside from a year and a half spent in a fringe coverage area, I've had less than 10 dropped calls.

I'm also not happy about the $10 charge. My son and I were both planning to get an EVO. Are we going to pay an extra $20/month? Doesn't seem so worth it.

Sprint had lots of good buzz going, then killed it with the $10 tax.

For what I need/want in a cell plan I figured I'd spend at least 30 dollars more for a comparable Verizon plan. Of course, everyone's needs are different. If I could get the minutes and features I need with an 80 dollar/mo Verizon plan I would have went with them a long time ago.

I'm not really going to complain about the $10 charge, but it's a bit bothersome that 4G is not even functional yet for a majority of their subscribers, it's nice some of you get those speeds, but that doesn't help me any, heh.

If 4G was available more widely, I'd have no problem paying the $10 fee.

And yes, the charge is "for the device", but it doesn't matter, it's not how it's being interpreted and it sounds even worse to have that charge for that device more so than the network.

I dont live in a major city and I have 4g service around here in burlington, NC and all the cities I go to around here (Greensboro, Durham, Chapel Hil, Raleigh) all have it! So dont think that only major cities have it, its bigger then you think already right now!

My bad about miscalculating the major cities, but as it stands, 4G coverage is still relatively small compared the whole of the U.S. and the way the Sprint subscriber base is spread out.

Maybe I can talk to Dan and tell him I'll agree to pay the additional charge as long as he puts Tallahassee, FL on the near future 4G list?
