Maybe I am not as picky as some but I am not really having any issues w/ this phone....Is it perfect? hardly....I have reset it maybe twice in the last month other than that it has been mainly user error... Some of the reasons I have been reading that people are returning or disappointed are kind of silly. Its like people are out trying to find something wrong so they have something to complain about or a reason to justify moving on to something else that they will be dissatisfied w/ in 30 days....Just my 2 cents....

I agree - I absolutely love this phone - after the Palm Pre I feel like I have died and gone to heaven! Battery life is stellar - no lag - I can customize it all I want - I can copy & paste & forward with ease - I can customize my text tone!!! Such simple pleasures that make me soooooooo happy!! I do have a little dust under the screen nothing major though. I'll just watch it and make sure more doesn't appear. But other than that I LOVE this phone!

I love my phone. Im also coming from the palm pre and this phone is a breath of fresh air(tho i did like my pre). It seems like most of the complaints i see are complaints one would have with any phone, especially a new one. Why would u buy a device at launch and then be mad when it has imperfections. I think they did a great job on the hero.

The phone is fine if that's all you are doing. but if you use multiple calenders to schedule employees and customers, trying to sync and send tasks throughout the day, have exchange email constantly running and use the phone for at least 2hrs of calls a day its not great. no BT transfer... Haven't tried tethering yet but im hearing mixed results.... This phone is on par with my symbian phone and the browser is 20x better which is a big plus for me. Winmo still comes out ahead when it comes to business use except the multiple calendars. this is a fun toy and i will probably stay with it until the hd2 is here in the states BUT to say you have no problems and other people are just complaining makes you a fool. Everyone has different needs and expectations and we are humans so yes we will complain if something doesn't live up to our needs and expectations.

I wish you would have posted this before saturday. you know why? I would have traded phones with you in a heartbeat. then you would see that most of us arent "just complaining". then you could eat your words. I love my phone. it is by far the nicest phone i have ever had...but really guy...tell me..what use is it to me when the damn battery lasts about 3-4 hours of light use. So keeping it plugged in to use it almost as much as i'd like...that would be ok with you? well its not ok with me. not when i Pay $200 for a phone AND extended my contract. no sir...i'm not just complaining. My crappy og instints battery lasted twice as long....and it came with a spare. So do me a favor...dont come on here saying people are "just complaining". Your just lucky you got a good one. My replacement seems to be working better. Heck i can go all day untill 8-9:00 in the evening with this one....alot better than being dead at noon with the other one...but im guess i'm just complaining...............:)

This phone has issues here and there but please someone find me a smart phone that does not have issues. My BB Curve that I have for business still has issues, the Tour that my boss uses has issues, all of my friends with an iPhone have some kinda issues, so really the way I see it your not going to get the perfect phone.

The issues are small enough for me that I still have a love for this phone. I am a techie person and I work in the IT field so obviously that helps me out some. I did have to switch the SMS app so that my battery would not be killed, however I have found that I like handcent sms way better than the stock sms app so no complaints there.

Im coming from the iphone from att and i have been pleased with the whole package. I got the wife the curve and me a hero. I have had the best nokia's jail broke iphones, this phone is by far the best phone i have owned. I just wish the camera wasent so bad.
yes the camera blows! but if you take a pic in a well lit area...its pretty good. it doesnt even begin to compare to the new instinct hd...but its good. take a pic in a semi low light condition...and its so blurry...my first hero was really bad...but my replacement is noticeably better...the first one was so bad...i didnt even want to use its camera for anything....because if i did...all it did was piss me off!

For me the camera issue is not a major problem. I only use the camera on my phone for situations where I go...I wish I had a camera right now. Most photos I take, I use a digital camera that its only function is to take photos. This insures great photos. The way I see it, this is a phone so that to me means it should not be my standard photo taking device. I do agree well lit photos come out very nice and dark photos suck, but then again even with digital cameras, night shots suck.

It is called freedom of speech....Freedom to complain and freedom to complain about the complainers....Don't take it or yourself to personal it is not worth the stress:p

Well said....My sister and her husband both have I-phones and they have to take the battery out a few times a week.....He does not complain he accepted that it comes w/ owning the phone.

this is the quote of the year and should be in everyone's signature line! I cant agree more!
Actually I think this one takes the cake. lol
IT IS NOT A COMPLETE SMARTPHONE UNLESS THE USER IS SOMEWAT SMART!!.. the phone cant do everything. but is a great device..

there is an unofficial rule that states "never buy the first generation product of a line.' and it never fails. This being the first CDMA android from Sprint which doesn't have the true CDMA 1.6 software but a quasi embedded CDMA 1.5 and some expect it to be fool proof from the get go. Lets not kid ourselves. Some of us, including myself, know there would be issues but just couldn't wait to get the phone. Most of these issues can be fixed, others not yet. Then again, that I know of, there hasn't been a phone ever that did not have some sort issue. Be it hardware, software etc. None, and that includes the iPhone. (Now, excuse me while I wash my hands for typing that name).

Ok, I'm back.
I do not think its a matter of complainer or non-complainer. Fool or foolish to buy a 1st gen product, regardless the phone is in your hands. No one forced anyone to get this phone. That was a decision you the owner made yourself. If it works to your expectation. Rock on, if it doesn't and none of the quick fixes work, then maybe its defective and its best to return it for a replacement.

I have this feeling that if we start posting the manufacturing date of the phones that have issues, I'm willing to bet that one will see that the units after a certain date do not have alot of the issues we are reading about. This phone in my opinion was rushed out the door by Sprint. Regardless, overall, in my opinion, its a great phone. Does ten times more and better than my previous did.

TS out (washing my hands again)
