found some post on another forum and i will quote them without posting a direct link

no...at least not till June 22 I think is the date and you would have to pay full BB retail which is 699.99

CW

Yea its confirmed... I too have an employee plan and spoke with a specialist for employee accounts last night. She basically told me it wont be available to us PERIOD until June 22nd... and even if you do get it June 22nd youll still have to pay full retail BUT you wont have to pay the $699 unless you go through best buy. Youll be able to get it full retail from Sprint after the 22nd and pay the $450. If you're due for upgrade though it wont be available as an upgrade until Mid July.

Soooooooooo your options are wait til the 22nd and pay $450 or wait until July and use an upgrade. It sucks I know... been trying to find a way around it all week with no haps.

I remember last year with the Pre, employees bought it through other channels, but got a nice surprise when they couldn't activate it. Some resorted to getting people they know to open new lines/accounts just so they could get it.

Not that it affects me, but my whole gripe is that wouldn't you want Sprint employees to have it at launch so they could get familiar with it and help customers with questions.

Looks like we have some problem

EPRP is NOT the same as an employee plan. its a discount plan for friends and fam of employees (so that they can get more customers over to sprint through this). SOOOO this will prolly not include you, the EPRP was created to replace the SERO plans for the newer data devices (from what I read around the time i got my palm pre). Just call sprint and find out if you can or not, easiest way to find out!

I'm getting conflicting info all over the net about this. Some people say it's no problem, others say it's a no go...

For the record, I started that thread on that other site and post there all the time, and brownhornet is not on an EPRP plan, he's on an Advantage plan, which is different.

But plenty of people say we can't get it on an EPRP plan right now too.

yeah, thats just a referral plan for employees to help get there friends and fam over to sprint from other carriers. like i said, back when the pre came out and people found out they could not use their SERO plans anymore, sprint came out w/ this right before they released the pre and it was to replace the SERO plan (according to what i read back then). It is NOT an employee plan, its a referral discount plan. they dont let emplyee put the new phones like this on there account when they first come out to keep the stocks up for the regular customers to buy first. once the first rush is over and they know they wont be short of phones to sell, then they let employee buy them. BUT like i said, the best way to find out is to call sprint and ask. but from what i understand the EPRP plan is diff then an actual employee plan.

The EPRP is not an employee plan. It's a referral plan, liek you said. And it didn't come out with the Pre, it came out right before the Instinct (which was the first phone Sprint didn't allow on SERO). Sprint.com/sero now has the EPRP plans listed. Some people call it the new SERO.

The advantage plan is something else entierely though. Not sure exactly what it is, but it's some type of employee plan.

I don't know what to think about the EPRP plan. Until I see someone that has the plan post that they preordered or tried and got denied, then I can't say for sure.

I don't even know if calling Sprint would get an accurate answer, because the preorders have to be done in person at Best Buy or Radio Shack don't they? So probably the only way to know for sure is to go down there and try to preorder.

calling sprint won't get an accurate answer. i did it this morning. a supervisor of account services got on the line because he overheard his rep having a hard time with me so he asked if he can help. he told me he is not aware of EPRP plan changes and if the Evo works for EPRP

So in all seriousness, what we need to do is get our ducks in a row. We need to plan on not being able to get the device on the EPRP. So we will likely be converted to a regular plan. So we need to figure out how to get one of those employer discounts that everyone is always talking about. that should make up the difference.

If Sprint surprises and lets us keep the EPRP then that's cool, but if they don't might as well be ready for it...

I have a 1500 Everything Family plan. The site is not a scam. You enter your employee email address and when things are confirmed, the 25% discount shows on your next bill. In my case, unlimited everything w/1500 minutes for less than $100/month. Unbeatable by anyone out there right now, even with the $10/month EVO tax....grrrrr

Hellava site .... it's been crashed for the last 36 hours.

Yeah he confirmed the details on that other site...

The Advantage plan is an actual employee plan. I guess the Sprint employees get a free account, and then they can have like 4 other accounts for $20 each. He used to work for Sprint, and he had one of his friends that still works there set him up on one of their accounts.

So it's not EPRP, but it is very similar. However, I still think EPRP customers will be faced with the same problem when they try to buy the Evo.

I don't expect a solid answer from Sprint regarding EPRP for another week or so, as they're still getting their act together.

I've been paying close attention since I'm on an EPRP myself, but am uneligible for upgrade, so will have to pay full retail. We'll see what comes to pass, but thus far, everything that's come out has been hearsay and inconsistent.

For all of you wondering about the Sero Family plan, you dont have to wait,
I had 4 old sero plans and merged it to the Family referral plan since it was required for the Pre, I did this a week before launch and I was able to get the Pre at a Sprint retail store, I dont know how hard of a time BB or Radioshack will give you though.

Forgive the slight thread hijack but I have a related question... I'm not interested in EPRP right now because I'm a new Sprint customer opening a single-line contract and I wanna be able to qualify for Premier (the EPRP discount would prevent that by bumping me under $69.99)... However, if my sister decides to join me on a Share plan in a few months, can I upgrade my on-contract line from the individual $69.99 plan to an EPRP Share plan?

At least as of a year ago, you could only sign up for EPRP if you were a brand new customer. It was not possible for existing customers to switch over. Things may have changed now and/or you may have to jump through some hoops. Folks over at SprintUsers.com can better answer this for you - they have a whole crazy subforum dedicated solely to EPRP.
