4k M8 OTT TV box help!

I have a question. Can someone please assist me, I just got an used M8 ott box. I am unablo to type my internet connection password. It doesnot matter how many times I click ok in the password box it continues blinking and never opens the keyboard screen. I can bot use it ethernet as my cable connection is far. Is there something I am missing or is it broken? Thank you for your time.

To reapond to myself. If you going to use this box wireless you need a keyboard to input the password. Also if you are new with the box at certain point you will get a message on top of the screen that says something about swipe... And another box with an "ok" this took me a while to figure out. All tou need to do is in the bottom of the keybpard there is a mouse key press it an use the mouse to get to the ok. Done

I just bought this product and it is my first experience with a tv box. I've looked up tutorials over YouTube but nothing really answers my issues. My box connects to my Internet no problem but once I try to use kodi all seems fine let's me click thru my options but when it comes to for example I search box office movies it says working on the bottom corner loads for awhile and then no results pop up. I'm not sure if I skipped a step or what but hopefully someone has an answer.

Alot of the programs are also saying they can not connect to the server which had me scratching my head because I'm connected to the Internet.

Hi I have just got a Q box 4k and got a couple of problems,
On start up video after turning, on music is stopping and stuttering picture is fine ,also
On the home screen i get messages? -- NEW YORK and QUERY in 2 seperate boxes then screen goes blank and then comes back after a second or so on and continues doing that, even if i quickly press apps. If i go into kodi that works fine.

Each time took qute a while and I got the message .."Cache Full: Cache filled before reaching required amount for continuous playback. Checking out Google i see that there is a txt fix that may helo with this cache error. But, how do i get into the box to add the txt? I assumed that I could connect it to my latop using the USB cable but that not working?? Any asistance on this and the general caching issue, appreicated, thanks.

Hi
I have just collected my new 4k ott TV box fully loaded I go on to kodi, then on to genesis click what ever it want to watch comes up with all the streaming links click and it comes up with one or more items failed to play check the log file for details it happens on everything any ideas??
Hi, some links do fail sometimes, if it cant play, choose another link to watch. Or you can find more addons for Kodi, there might be some addons have what you need. Have a good one.

ok....NEWBIE here....please bare with ...
I see everyone is looking for answers .....but not to many replies ....
gonna take my shot at another ...........(maybe its simple and I am missing it)

I have a new HEVC OTT 4K Box with Kodi (Pulse)
I made and played with all my settings in Kodi -
Movies, TV Shows, Music, Sports, Programs, Settings....
including Submenus and Addons......

IF I just turn my box off.....everything (settings) I just created is fine........
but at any time....when it goes out of Kodi or starts back up
to the HEVC main colorful home screen ....then go back INTO Kodi ....
all those settings I created are back to the "default" ....so frustrating .........
IS there a non-techy way in Saving my Settings on the main menu in KODI ?
In advance ......thank you..:(

After you get Kodi set up the way you want it with the shortcuts and addons you need to exit Kodi via the exit button on the Kodi home page. This will save your settings. It might take up to a minute to exit as it is saving everything. Once saved it will exit to your box home screen. The next time you go to Kodi all of your work should be displayed just how you initially set it up to your preference. Hope this helps!

Hi all,

I've recently bought this new box and having nothing but problems with it. I'm quite new to this world to be fair and I have no real idea what I'm looking for. The box ix pretty basic so any tips you can give me on how I can get the best outta the box (apps, .apk files, etc...) will be very helpful. I've tried following the youtube vids but these are pretty dated and the links they recommend are pretty much all defunct now?

You can use what you used on your Android Phone. I still use Kodi and Netfilx.

I have a new kodi box mxq pro 4k. It connects to the internet no problem it streams films in very good picture quality. The problem I have is it stops after around 1hr 20mins and bounces you out to the welcome screen. The box then locks up and it has to be switched off to get it to work again. I have tried several apps but it occurs on every one. Any ideas greatly appreciated

Could the GPU be overheating? It looks like something to do with the GPU and I'll bet a Zimbabwe dollar that it's getting too hot from playing videos.

Could you try playing a video in a better-ventilated spot with a fan facing directly at it to see if that makes a difference?

Thanks for the reply. Tried moving the box (It was well ventilated in the first place) and tried running a small fan next to it but no joy :-(
