I grew up with Peanuts. Linus and Lucy Van Pelt. I think that is how I associated it mentally.
I have been doing my best to bring this OS to those that are afraid. With Mint, the only need for CLI anymore is because, in my opinion, it's easier to type
Code:
sudo apt install ****
than it is to open software manager. :)

Linnux/Lienux/leenux whatever - it's written LINUX, pronunciation is irrelevant as long as we all understand what's meant

Yes it is written like that, so when you're reading a forum post or some blog or something, the readership understands what is meant. However when it comes to spoken language, how a word is pronounced can be extremely important.

I sometimes pronounce it as 利纳克斯 Lìnàkèsī
Awesome. I often say bay-se-bo-rue because it sounds better than baseball...

As far as I know, there are two 'normal' ways to say it: lynn-ux and lie-nux, though when I use the former (which I do) it sounds more like lynn-nix.
