Samsung Moment 2 (M910) coming July 2010

Obviously, it seems it is just a rumor as I do not see an official Sprint quote about the release. But, is it really going to take until July 2010 to receive this phone? It seems that a couple of people played around with the moment 2 already and the FCC picture looks like a finished product.

think that b.s if you look at the processor mainly it says samsung sph 900 moment. the specs are the same as the ones we already have so that beggs the question is samsung putting out the same phone just under a different name? i highly doubt it.

I know someone that has been able to play with the phone and they said the hard keyboard is worse than that on the current Moment. I guess the buttons are harder to press or less tactile or something. He compared it to the keyboard on the Samsung Exclaim.

Come right up folks and buy yesterdays phone today....Don't look at that EVO over there, focus on me. Ooh look, a new keyboard...and we added a 2 to the name.

The only good thing about this is that Samsung may feel obligated to upgrade the M2 to 2.2 (or whatever froyo will be) even if they decide (likely) to forget the original Moment ever existed. The almost identical architecture should insure that the devs can adapt froyo to the Moment1 even without Samsungs (pathetic) assistance.

That's Predecessor, not processor. We don't have technical details about this phone yet, just the screen resolution and OS.

No, you said processor was listed as sph-m900 Moment. There is no mention of the processor in that link, there is Predecessor model :SPH-m900 Moment", but no mention of the processor. We don't know the full specs of this yet, so you can't say what it is clearly yet.

I'm overall happy with my current moment but this will be the last Samsung phone I own. This phone will do me for my contract and whatever but seeing how samsung handled the updates for it is unsatisfactory. The 2.1 update just seems unfinished. We're stuck with 3 home screens, no 3-d gallery, no live wallpapers and no multitouch. I just wonder exactly how hard they worked on these updates.

I can't see them releasing version 2 of a phone that is not even a year old yet, but one never knows. I'll hang and wait a bit though, as my son wants a Moment. Once I see a more 'official' bit of news about this one, then I know whether we will wait for it or not.
