Help Xperia X10 not reading tags properly for music

I am having an issue where the neither the Xperia x10 nor the Media Go software which came included are recognizing the id3v2 tags of my mp3 library. All displays fine with foobar2000 but when I try putting it on my phone it displays chinese characters and no album art.

I don't have that problem. do you use itunes to put in your album art? That's what I use and the album art for my songs show up fine.

My only problem is that when I put in Chinese songs, some of the title/artist/album show up fine and a lot of them are just jibberish. I gave up on looking for a solution on that lol

I use foobar2000 for the info and mp3tag to add art, I think it may have something to do with the id3 tag versions.

I had the same problem with my htc desire. used mp3tag to convert all tags to ID3v2.3 (utf-16) and everythings working fine now.

Yeah thanks I figured it out, it indeed has to be ID3v2.3 (not 2.4).
