I own myself a canon 5dmII and been actively shooting photos myself.

I was always impressed with the Nexus One photos that i've taken. the incredible seem to have a bluish tint from all the photos i've seen in the shoot out, especially when it's almost all white background. I think it's probably a software update they have to do.

anyway, check the link out:

Incredible:
- looks like crap compared to N1
- doesn't have dual mic noise cancellation
- has a weaker battery than the N1
- must have a $70/mo contract minimum instead of better options
- doesn't have trackball notifications
- AND takes worse pictures than the N1?!?! (it's one supposed "strength" over the N1)

Thank god I live in a place with good carrier coverage and don't have to be a slave to Verizon coverage...

I was really surprised by this. Guess more mega-pixels doesn't mean jack. Maybe it can be improved somewhat by a software update?

Megapixels only go so far. Unless you're the type that NEED to zoom and see someone's zits close up or you want to develope 4x4 wall poster pictures or you like to crop ALOT, you don't need that many megapixels. 3.5MP suffice to print great 4x8 standard photos. You need to look at the quality of the lenses being use and the flash and optical zoom versus digital zoom. Unless you are getting a camera smart phone, these features are quite lacking :( Yeah, a software update should improve the camera's performance.

Great Tests!!

Hell my old Motorola Zine ZN5 takes better pictures than both these phones though.

The ZN5 has a Kodak camera on it with XEON flash! With a super fast autofocus. Sure miss that phone camera, but the phone itself sucked lol.

Wish Kodak would slap a camera on a Android Phone.. OR wish HTC would use XEON flash instead of LED.

Im not surprised most people assume that more mega pixels means better picture, but its just not the case. Im sure its something that htc can fix with an update. but it just goes to show that that the grass is not always greener on the otherside, besides sense that was the one feature the incredible had over the N1, i dont include the on board memory cause their still having problems getting the apps to access it.

My Incredible takes incredible pix. I hear sour grapes. It happens. The Incredible is better than the N1 and in a few weeks the Evo will have the title. And in three months from that a new phone will be the champ over the Evo. Technology is moving so fast now that if you want the best phone, you'll be gettting a new one literally every 3 months. Just be happy we have better phones and freedom than Ijunk(phone).

In a couple days, the N1 will take the lead again - once it gets the Froyo update and the incredible and evo just sit there waiting...

:)

We can then take out our popcorns...sit and watch as the threads start popping up on every subforums, 'when will we get our 2.2 updates' :D...is this just cynical of me? >_>

e
all the software controls over the camera on the incredible are sweet! is there finally a way to control exposure on N1 (i mean upping the gain in low light or back light situations)?
Nope...the features on the nexus is pretty basic still
Oh man I cant wait Roze :D

You know I'm gonna HAVE to go into those forums and let them know how sweet Froyo tastes ;)

OF COURS! That's one of the reason why we got the Nexus right? Lol well we'll be nice so that we aren't seen as trolls ;) We'll just tell them how FAST the phone is after the update, how awesome apps2sd is etc ;) lol
