Help Making my INC play music in my truck - help!

Hey all, I've got a 2004 Silverado with the factory head unit still installed, so no 3.5 jack. My cd player no longer works so i want to use my phone as my primary means of music.

What is the easiest way to get my INC to play mp3s through my truck's speakers? Thanks in advance guys!

I purchased an FM modulator thingy for like 10 bucks at Walmart. Works like a charm.

yup. fm transmitter or a new head unit.

get a new head unit. A simple one will only cost 50-100 bucks.

For $10, i'll try the FM modulator thingy from Walmart before splurging on a new head unit. Can anyone post up info on which specific one they got, so I dont have to ask a Walmart employee? I'm in NC - god only knows what kind of contraption theyd have me buy lol

FM modulation is not that bad. I have it in my Porsche (MOST is fiber optic so there is no way to add anything without replacing the BOSE head unit). I have Sirius and listen to MP3s with a Kenwood receiver hooked up with FM modulation and the sound quality is pretty good.

Just looked @ WalMart, all their FM radio transmitters looked like they were for iPhone/iPod, or were 60$+. Can somebody give me a link to a cheaper one? Thanks!

I use one like this and am very happy with it. If you are in a big city you might have trouble finding a good station without much interference, but in most areas a station like 88.3 or 88.5 or 88.7 will work just fine. Just experiment with the low stations until you find one you are happy with.

Instead of a wireless FM transmitter use a wired FM modulator.
